Share ko lang ha.  Kasi I have lots of classmates na good friends na tapos ng caregiving from really good caregiving schools pero di pa rin nakakaalis, they don't know where their applicaton forms are na.  Two are taking nursing with me right now, one is taking Pharmacy.  They have relatives din in the UK, US, Canada pero ba't di sila makaalis?  Be wary lang po baka yung nagpopost may ari ng school or something, sometimes they say everything to get you to enroll.

may point ka dyan sis.  like what i stated sa mga first post ko, hindi nakasalalay sa school ang chances mo na makaalis.  Ikaw pa rin ang maghahanap ng employer mo talaga.  In our case, malaki naitulong ng relatives ko sa Canada pati ng employer ko.  They are very cooperative.  [textspeak!] the processing is very mabusisi talaga.  Dapat very supportive ang relatives at employer mo.  Maraming employer ang nawawalan ng gana kumuha ng caregiver from the Phils. dahil napakatagl ng processing dito sa Phils. at napakahigpit pa ng Canadian Embassy.  In our case, honestly, hindi maganda ang school na napili nmin...actually, the school is closed na yata ngayon.  Wala kming nakuhang assistance sa school na yun.  Nag worry nga ako bka may impact sa application nmin yun eh.  Pero hindi nman, hindi ang school ang pinakamalaking factor sa application mo.  It's your skills and your employer pa din. Although kung sa magandang school ka mag eenroll, matutulungan ka nila sa mga questions mo about processing.  Kya it's better pa din na choose the best school.

pag kumuha ka talaga ng caregiver course, you have to be 100% decided n gusto mo talaga yang ginagawa mo.

I'm not really sure pero nag-apply na sila and they're always following up daw.  Silang 3 pinagnursing na lang ng mga mom, asawa and relative nila baka daw mas maganda pa.

Ano pinapagawa sa inyo sa speak test? just curious sis

^ The test is developed to gauge proficiency in spoken english and caregiving skills. It is administered using a computer and a webcam. What happened was, we were ushered inside a room, there were 10 computer terminals. We were given pre-assigned seats.

The test consists of 5 questions, randomly chosen from the different modules of the caregiver curriculum (child care, elderly care, first aid etc.) Using a headset with mic, we were given 1 minute and 30 seconds to answer each question. The computer records the audio responses as well as records the video.

These are then reviewed by the embassy and they decide whether your responses show your capability to work as a caregiver.

Oh my gosh!! this is kinda tough..it was a bit easy during my time in 2005. it was sort of like one on one interview in my case. Goodluck to all!!

^ it has its advantages and disadvantages. ako i am more comfortable with this type of evaluation kasi i heard from previous applicants that there are consuls who would keep on asking follow up questions until the applicant is no longer able to provide the answer.

also, some consuls would just look at the applicant and make a decision without even asking a single question, still some naman would approve without asking a question din.

with this type of test kasi, you just need to answer what was asked. no more follow up questions. and the questions are pretty easy, examples: what would you do if you suspect that someone is having a heart attack? what is proper hydration?

anyone who prepared and reviewed his/her notes should be able to answer that di ba? kahit nga hindi nag caregiver training. kaya lang nga, under time pressure ka...

have u attended the "Canadian Orientation Abroad" already?  the leaflet about this seminar is enclosed in the last letter we received from the Canadian Embassy.  it is not a requirement to attend but the embassy is recommending it.  i tried calling the IOM office (the one that will conduct the seminar), but i can't contact them yet.

^ i suggest just send a sms on the mobile number sa leaflet. that's how i was able to arrange my seminar. i have slot on june 13. i suggest you attend this. free naman eh! from what i remebered, required siya  not sure ha?

case to case basis siguro sis. in my case I was asked about my previous employment, employers background, hours of learning in Caregiving course and a situational.

pretty easy din and no time pressure. i am lucky

^ i know! kawawa yung mga napunta sa sobrang strict na consuls. i was actually asked to avoid nga the lady consul daw who does interviews early mornings. she is notorious for flunking applicants! good thing na i didn't have to come for an interview hehe

^I went in the morning sis and a lady consul conducted my interview. It went well. actually i missed interpret her question. it was like "what do you do as a nanny to develop the motor skills of a one yr old kid?" sabi ko ba naman "I will let him ride his bike and play sports like soccer" Nagulat siya sa sagot ko sis, hahaha!! Narealized ko mali sagot ko and I apologized, she accpeted it naman (pano kaya maglalaro ng soccer ang 1 y/o )

hello,im applying also for lcp in canada i havee a sister in ontario and she is my employer i rcvd the first letter from the embassy that they got my papers and start processing it,im waiting for the second letter that will instruct me to take the speak te,i heard rumors that wala na daw speak test.is that true?d pa yata ako nakaabot mukang mas mahirap yata pag consul interview e.baka my idea kayo thank you

after you recieve a letter from HRDC what step you do next?

hello check this website.www.manila.gc.ca.tapos be sure na lahat ng isusulat mo has a supporting papers with it.[textspeak!] kc nila mas ok kung sobra kesa kulang e.all supporting papers should be duly authenticated.sana natulungan kita.i have a neighbor here kulang cya ng trade test exam sa tesda,medeyo hanggang ngaun problem pa nya un e.
