the accountant is one of our partners (4 kami) so di ko alam bakit babayaran pa namin service nya eh may stake naman siya sa company she does not charge retainer's fee sa ibang transactions kasi nga partner namin siya. would you know how much we will pay if we let the deadline pass? balak namin nung isa pang partner is not to pay him and fix the bir stuff ourselves after the deadline.

^ Hindi yan fixed sis. Anyway, matagal na akong hindi nagppractice ng profession pero kapag late filing tapos may tax payable ka pa, merong interest, surcharge at compromise penalty depende sa amount ng tax payable mo.

Kapag wala ka namang payable at di ka lang nakapag-file ng  certificate of income tax, compromise penalty lang. This is based on a matrix matched against your annual revenue.

But since wala kayong operation, medyo hindi ko na alam yan.

Anyway, compute mo kung mas mataas pa yung penalty compared to paying your accountant his retainer's fee.

May business po ako tapos hindi ako nakafile ng ITR so ano po ba ang mangyayari sa business ko wala rin akong bookeper tapos every month naman ako ngbabayad ng monthly tax ko.

Me, still employed, have not decided yet whether to go into practice. Mahirap ba or well compensated naman? A lot says mas kikita tayong mga CPA sa ganitong way kesa employed lang. Please share naman mga sisses

hello mga sis kong CPA.. hehe..
ako po ay isang accountant na ayaw mag finance..
kaya napunta po ako sa IT audit..
kasi way back in college interested po ako sa CIS subject natin..
so first work ko IT audit na talaga..
at never na po ako ng practice ng accounting..
minsan naiisip ko.. [textspeak!] bang kina-ayaw ko sa finance?
i-try ko kaya maging accountant? ahahah..

^ Kung ayaw mo, hindi mo talaga interest, or hindi talaga fit sa personality mo mag-finance. Those are very important things to consider para maging happy ka. Parang lahat kasi ng line of work na related or incidental sa accounting/ auditing is very stressful. Ang hirap mag-survive kung inherently stressful na yung job tapos you don't find fulfillment from it pa.

I find IT auditing fun. I never really wanted to take up accountancy, but I had to make it work, so I found it a blessing na meron ganitong opportunity.

I'm doing something else now though. Totally unrelated to accounting and auditing. You're young, go lang ng go. You'll find your way as you move forward

girls, do you have any idea how much is the starting salary of a newly passed cpa in sgv? a lot of people are saying it's not the salary but the experience daw matters most in this comp.

^hi sis. that's correct. it's the training and experience. 15k is the starting salary.

Sa mga CPAs, hiring daw po sa COA ngayon at may malaking chance maging UN auditor/ or auditor ng mga philippine embassies kaya pwedeng makatravel abroad. Try nyo mag-apply.

Hi mga accountant sisters
I hope you can help me regarding my dilemma

I was with a company until March 30 2012, after that i did freelance work na. Very unstable,  but to make the long story short, ngayon ko palang naisip na need ko to update my tax contributions and also, to have my own receipts (i am a licensed professional)

Now the problem is, i do not know where to start. I tried looking at the BIR website, but di ko masyado maintindihan talaga. I just downloaded BIR forms 1901 and 1906

Do i need to change my TIN number?

My work, well, very freelance talaga, so i have work hours sa san juan and other work days sa Pasig.

I was thinking of maybe hiring nalang an accountant to fix all this stuff for me, pero i do not know if susulit sya since nga anliit ng income now.

Can you please teach me the process kung pano ko ba talaga gagawin?

I would really really appreciate any help
