Could anyone give an advice regarding sa resolution DAW ng PRC na tatanggalin sa roster yung mga hindi nagre-renew ng license 5 years and up? not sure if totoo, or if totoo, 'til the last renewal ba ang count or kung kelan dapat nagpa-renew?

appreciate your feedback. thanks!!1
This is the first time I heard this, sana may makasagot ng tanong :)

Good job sis! It's best to ask PRC mismo, and not rely on hearsays.

Btw, I'm wearing glasses myself. It's common yata talaga for Accountants  ;D

^not in good standing ang cpa pag hindi nagrenew ng license sa prc

wala naman yan sa grounds for revocation ng license:  convicted by the court of competent jurisdiction of a criminal offence involving moral turpitude or guilty of immoral and dishonorable conduct to any person or unsound mind..

baka pasok yan sa dishonorable conduct?

Advise naman mga sissies.. di ako cpa, accounting grad lamang, first job ko 2003-2006 related naman sa accounting, 2006 onwards till now more on admin nalang. gusto kong bumalik sa field na may accounting works.. nag aapply apply ako, kaso kinakabahan ako pag ininterview ako, parang wala na akong maalala about accounting.. san kaya ako magsisimula ulit para marefresh yung accounting knowledge ko? :-[

I'm an accounting grad under pa ng BSBA era. I always regretted why I didn't take the CPA board exams because yun yung icing on the cake ng isang accountant. Pag di ka CPA, madalas sa hindi you'll be by-passed for promotion kahit alam na alam mo na ang likaw ng financial and accounting transactions ng employer mo.  I've seen it so many times...But I guess I was one of the lucky ones because through diligence na din and dedication in my work, I became a Credit and Collection Manager. Yun nga lang walang masyadong Accounting sa collection. And I'm sure pag tinanong ako what is the meaning of Accounting, di ko na alam ang sagot. :) So advise ko lang sa mga dilly-dallying na kumuha ng exam, GO na! Kung ang reason lang eh natatakot, don't be. Mas nakakatakot pag nabaliw ka sa kakaisip ng "What ifs" in the future. Now pag d ka pumasa but you know you tried your darnest, ok din lang yun. Pwede mo ng sabihin sa sarili mo na "At least I tried"..yun lang. ACCOUNTANTS RULE! :)

Sis panu mag apply ng CISA? I also want to be an IT auditor, pano ba? :)
You have to have at least 5 years of experience practicing as an IT auditor. All the information you need is found at the ISACA website... and of course you need to pass the CISA exams.

Hi GTs :) I think this thread has the best resources for my concern...i formed a partnership in 2009 kasi and we closed down already. we filed the non-operation to BIR and we pay the minimum quarterlies to keep the papers updated kasi we plan to reopen next year.

our accountant is asking us to pay P5000 for preparation daw of certificate of tax income and audit...i checked this with the bir website and it says there kung non-operating wala daw babayran, file lang yung paper...also yung audit form is only for companies earning 150k per quarter...closed kami so we did not earn anything. may reason ba ang accountant namin to pay 5k and para san kaya yun? im clueless about taxation and deadline na sa monday :( TIA!

^^ Maybe, the 5k is fee for your accountant for him/her to process BIR-related stuff. Maybe that's what she meant by that?
