starting my classes real soon. i'm quite excited kase major career change rin. how was it teaching high school students? nakaka-pagod ba?

^^ naku, I don't have plans of working abroad sis. 

masaya magturo sa high school, especially kapag makukuha mo ang loob ng mga pasaway, like you know, yung mga bullies. haha. kasi once na naging friends kayo, everything will be easy for you especially sa classroom management.

I hope makabalik ako sa teaching after my resignation. I am only 23, pero I really love to teach.

Hello!!! I teach as an online english teacher mag-three years na (I'm 22) and ask ko lang if pag graduate ko next year (Political Science), pwede kaya ako mag apply as english teacher sa ibang bansa?  or do I need to take educ units and get certificates bago ako makapag-apply?

I always wanted to teach pero iba naging path ko nung college but the passion to teach is still there so while working in a publishing company, I decided to take up MA and now I'm about to finish 42 units pero di pa kasali thesis kasi there were additional foundation subjects. Gusto ko sana mag apply but sa nababasa ko sa mga forums, schools would really prefer MA degree holders so I think I should finish first my MA. Have a question, when you are called up for a demo, how do you prepare? I mean, sorry hindi ko na alam setup ng classrooms other than the setup na pinapasukan ko ngayon na in every classroom may laptop sa table and projector sa taas so all I need to bring is my flashdrive. Pag demo ba, do you bring your own laptop or you just use the whiteboard? Do the evaluators ask you regarding what you discussed or they just observe you? Hehe.

That's admirable naman sis that you got the job immediately. And you're still young ha. I do hope you'd still pursue MA lalo na kasi ang young mo pa, you still have the zest and energy to teach and study at the same time.

If you want to be a teacher dapat dedicated ka...I'm a teacher abroad but when I get back home ayaw ko ng magturo kasi nakakapagod at dapat mahaba rin ang pasensiya.
At sa tingin ko ang salary ng mga teachers sa Pinas is not enough. Pero kung decided ka...so be it!!!

Currently taking up Professional Teaching Program. Baka naman may kilala kayo na teacher (atleast 7 years experience) na pwede interviewhin for an assignment sa school. Madali lang yung questions kaso kelangan ko talaga ng real teacher. Help please!

@ madness taga san ka sis? marami naman pwedeng ma-interview na teacher, lalo na sa public schools mga beterano na

taga pag-asa, quezon city. wala lang talagang time magpunta sa school since pasukan na at may klase, baka mahirapan ako makakuha ng teacher

I am taking up Secondary Education right now and already a second year student. I just turned 16 this May! I dont think being a teacher will suit me

Sis, minsan rin naiisip ko yan. Pero think long term. Teaching is a noble profession at hindi siya nawawala. Tapusin mo na lang yang course mo and then you can always switch to another profession if you want to. Goodluck

Recently, I received a letter from TIP and they were inviting me to apply as an Instructor in their Quezon City Campus. I've never taught before so I'm not really sure if I can handle the job. But, I'm considering it.

I've heard from a friend that an Instructor can be given 24 units to teach in a week. Tapos, for example, 350 per hour, ibig ba sabihin kung meron akong 24 units per week, that's also equivalent to teaching 24 hours per week?

I don't have any idea.. A big thank you to those who can answer.

@Madness, are you taking PTC sa UP?ilang units yung kinuha mo and your experience so far? magkano ang tuition fee? sorry daming tanong.

Mom ko kasi suggested to get MA kahit ilang units lang daw so i could take LET exam. If ever i decided to pursue teaching, balak ko sana sa preschool or early child program. Meron ba nyan sa UP?

Yes, I am. First sem ko ngayon. 6 units lang ako (3 subjects). Okay naman siya. I'm coping so far. Mga modules siya na ginagawa ko lang sa office. Yung first sem ko, almost 9k yung binayaran ko for 6 units. Pagkatapos ng PTC, I can take LET na. Balak ko din preschool or early child program eh. Well ang purpose ko lang naman ay maka LET kase may bias na ngayon sa mga LET board passers.

Kase ang alam ko anyone can be preschool teacher, but sometimes mas pinapaburan ang Board Passer ng LET.

For PTC naman, this will allow you to teach high school and elementary.

Ay sa Open University nga pala ako ng UP. Meron sa UP Diliman na

Early Childhood Education courses:
BEED in Early Childhood Education
Diploma in Early Childhood Education

Wala siya sa UP OU kase.

Mas interesado ako sa PTC instead of taking Masteral Malaki rin pala ang babayaran kahit 6 units lang.  How about yung schedule, i mean do you have to check your portal everyday?

Mas malaki ang demand for preschool teacher sabi na rin sa news, but for me mas maganda pa rin yung may certification if not diploma ka pa rin sa teaching. Sa preschool ng anak ko dati, nung hindi nakapasa sa LET exam yung isa sa mga teachers nila di na nila tingangap the next school year.

Sis, what I do para di ako maoverwhelm sa sked, I check the portal everyday. Usually pag marami akong gawain ng weekend, di ko nagagawa mag check so pag monday, ay tambak haha.
