I have taught for seven years before I resigned. Now I have a job offer at a university to be an english instructor for college students. I want to get TCP...aside from PNU, san pa ba meron? meron po bang on line or parang distance learning aside from UP-Open university?

You have 2 choices:

College of Education: Bachelor of Education - Teacher Early Grades
College of Home Economics: Bachelor of Science - Family Life and Child Development (also a premedical course)

Work in a private school then after you've gained at least a years experience, go abroad

Di naman nag-eexpire ang teaching license. Baka you meant yung PRC ID mo? Yun nag-eexpire and you can always renew it for a fee but not the license unless marevoke yun because of some violations against the code of ethics ng mga teachers.

Why don't you teach muna sa private school kung di ka makapasok sa public school at this time?  Mas madali ka na makakapasok sa public pag may experience ka na. And attend ka ng maraming trainings and seminars. May mga private schools din naman na maganda ang benefits.  I for one did not really see myself teaching sa public school. I taught for 9 years, became subject coordinator, school publication head at kung [textspeak!]-ano pang positions but realized that I wanted to do something different and I found my happiness sa career ko ngayon.

i used to teach din at UPD pero super stressed. mababa sweldo (i was getting less than P300 per hour  as lecturer), daming estudyante (25-35), check papers, prepare your lesson plan, konti ng benefits tapos may budget cut! pang-chalk lang tinitipid pa... dyos ko, dapat nga white board na ginagamit!

anyways, right now i'm still teaching pero sa BPO na. walang choice e, hirap ang buhay... i'm happier now. may health card with lots of benefits -- di ka matatakot na magkasakit hubby or kids mo.

this is not to discourage you guys!

para sa mga gusto magturo, why not try teaching in college? i think mas maluwag sila sa requirements, mature pa students mo. hayyy kung may budget lang sa education e di sana di nagsusuffer ang teachers.

for those interested, baka gusto rin niyong sumali sa mga teachers' association para maka-network kayo. i know people from contend and act.

Professor ka pala before sis chin66ay. Ako I'm a LET passer but never really practiced it. I'm currently a trainer sa BPO. Pay is relatively high with all the benefits but I'm not contented. I want a more financially rewarding teaching job. Go abroad in short. Kaso requirements naman e at least 1 year experience kahit Singapore lang. Haist.

Waaaah. I passed the CTP entrance exam sa PNU three years ago, kaso di ako nakaenroll kasi conflict sa working sched ko. Sayang. Sana nakapagboard na ko ngayon and 2 na licenses ko. Charot.

Pag nakaluwag na kami, my husband encourages me to try and take CTP again para makapagteach na ko sa regular school.

HI. Tanong ko lang po. Sa PNU po ba, required talaga yung GPA na 2.0 or 85% (undergrad course) para ma-qualify sa certificate in teaching program? Ganun ba sila ka-strict? Gusto ko kasi sana sa PNU isa pa, mura ang tuition.
