Planning to take spanish classes too. I studied it for year in UP. Medyo nakalimutan ko na so aral ulit. Plano ko sa Instituto Cervantes or Languages Internationale. Not sure how much sa Instituto, sira website nila. Sa Languages, mga 5-7k ata pero lesser students.

^Sis, at Instituto Cervantes, the weekday classes (Regular and Intensive) go for P2,670 while the Saturday (Extensive) classes cost P2,980. Textbooks are sold separately from P1,250 to P1,700 depending on your course/level.

Kung meron ka nang background sa Spanish, you need to take a placement test before registering to find out which level at ICM will you fit in.

Bad yan, not reading back. But to answer your question, marami namang mga centers na nag-ooffer ng English proficiency. Speechpower comes to my mind first. Kung malapit ka sa Manila, meron ding programs ang La Salle. You can read about it here.

^Minimum of 10 and maximum of 20. Kapag wala pa kayong 10 sa class, it gets dissolved.

as i said in another thread, i work in a language school and i teach english proficiency and pronunciation... our school offers mostly european languages, such as french, german, italian, spanish... we also offer asian languages such as mandarin, fookien, hangul (korean), thai, arabic, niponggo, even tagalog....

last week we gave free language lessons, and marami nag-attend dun sa korean classes namin... mga taong mahilig daw sa koreanovelas na gusto maintindihan yung dialogues sa dvd... and yeah, we have a lot of students coming in to learn languages for their fiancee visas...

btw, we do one-on-one teaching so the sked is flexible... most of our group classes are corporate accounts and out-based so we dont really do that in our institute... PM me for details....

has anyone tried using the Rosetta Stone software? helpful ba?

If you have a background in the language, you could buy the software.  If you ask me though I would rather go to class.  The interaction helps a lot.

we are having another round of free language lessons at our school tomorrow, jan 24, 2pm... we are offering Hangul, Fookien, Tagalog, Japanese, Mandarin, French, German, Spanish, and American English... try this so you can decide which language would be easiest and/or practical for you...
