What scares me about growing old

Alzheimer's scares me the most, one of my Lola has it. It breaks my heart to see her go through it...hinde na nya nagagawa yung usual day to day activities nya like cooking.

Pag minsan may mga tinatanong sya sakin tapos paulit ulit...naiiyak ako not bec. nakukulitan ako skanya, nasasaktan ako. Plus feeling ko part of her eh nawala na samin...

not having kids. it really scares me.

mahirap kaya...like my aunt she lives alone walang anak...sanay naman siya mag isa pero there are times na gusto niya kasama ang mga kamag-anak...unfortunately hindi puwede cos may kanya kanya na ring pamilya so ang nangyayari nagbabayad siya ng ibang tao para may makasama.

So why pay someone para may kasama ka, when you can just have kids who will be do it free?

just sounds selfish as a reason to have kids. Para meron kang caregiver when you grow old.

@spartan hmm maraming reasons. ..eto lang yung sa case ng aunt ko...tumandang dalaga all her life spent sa career naka focused ayaw ng umibig

@spartan, not having kids scares me about growing old kasi gusto ko makita lahi ko chaka para makabayad utang sa nanay ko..as oldies says. pero hindi naman para lang may magalaga sken when i grew old. i'm 29yo,3yrs TTC super scared na kong mag30yo kasi by that time high risk na ko magpreggy. gusto ko magalaga ng baby o anak at hindi magpaalaga pag tanda ko. yun lang po.

what scares me about growing old is being alone.
nakikita ko din yung ibang cousin ng lola ko, shucks..ako nalulungkot sa kanila.
masarap kase yung ipaalam sa kahit kanino na somebody will be there to grow old with you + kids =  happiness!

The physical transformations. It's not about vanity, it's more about not being as mobile and as in charge of my faculties as I am today. I like to always be on the move, so I can't imagine not being physically able to do what i want.  I dread the gradual loss of sight, of hearing,and of whatever other senses I enjoy today. I hope by then I've lived a long, satisfying life already so I'll be content just to sit down and look back on what I've done.

As of now, the only thing that scares my about growing old is death. Lalo na yung last minutes ko, yung tipong I know it's coming na kasi naghihingalo na ako, ganyan. What will happen next??

i dont want to think about it,kasi takot ako. im scared of the illnesses na lumalabas (diabetes,highbloood,arthritis,cancers...) and im scared,pag sumobrang tumanda ako,to the point na halos mahirapan nakong gumalaw,at kailangan na'kong alagaan. just like sa lola ng hubby ko,mga almost 90 na [textspeak!] sya,nahirapan na sya tumayo at maglakad, kailangan pa syang akayin,at pakainin,parati lang syang nakahiga,o naka upo,sa kawarto lang niya most of the time,minsan nakaka limutan pa syang pakainin,kasi syempre busy rin ang  mga tao sa bahay,may kanya-kanyang buhay,napag iwanan na sya,they have to get a yaya pa to take care of her. takot akong mag ka ganun.sinasabi ko nga,wag nalang humaba ang buhay ko,kung ganun din lang,pero takot din akong mamatay hehe
