So ayun, nagpurchase na ako ng item sa amazon. May nakalagay dun, shipping address and billing address. Yung shipping address ang nilagay ko eh yung address ng SIL ko sa US kasi siya na magpapadala dito sa pinas andyung billing address naman ang nilagay ko is yung address ko dito sa pinas, tama ba yun? May nakalagay pa na $79 membership fee for one year na yun may pero free trial for one month so nagregister ako. Machacharge kaya yung $79 na yun sa credit card ko?

Yung $79 na fee na may free trial, is that for prime membership? If you're a prime member, you get free 2-day shipping on prime items. For non-prime members, you get free standard 7-8-day shipping on items eligible for free super saver shipping id you make purchases $25 or more.

Kung di mo ma-cancel ang free trial mo after the free trial period, yes you will get charged. If you make purchases often, they may offer free prime membership. Ganito ang samin. My husband has been a prime member since 2007 pero free, we dont pay the monthly charge. It was offered to him and he took it.

^hi, how does the pobox procedure work? ganito ba sis, when the item reaches pobox address in the u.s. - pobox will ship it to phils via seafreight? when it reaches the phils, will your item be delivered to your address or do we have to pick it up at pobox office in the phils? thanks in advance sis

- you register with po box so you get an account name.
- use that name plus their US address as your shipping address for purchases.
- whenever you make a purchase, log in to your account and update the shipping form with details of the item (what it is, quantity, from which seller, tracking number). i highly recommend you enter the tracking number even if it is optional because this is the easiest way they can track the packages they receive.
- po box will consolidate items for you - anything they receive basta within 45 days yata, they will consolidate.
- when all your items have arrived, ask them to pack your box. they will let you know what size of box they used for your items and will send you a statement for box shipping charges. yes, sea cargo siya.
- pay for the box shipping charges.
- wait for your box. it will be delivered to your doorstep.

^ that's what i do para sure. kasi they open most of the packages when they arrive eh. they remove the items from their original packages so they can pack the items better. nililista ko isa isa and they check isa isa din.

Online shopping is very convenient. i've saved a lot of money with some of the items i've purchased online. Sadly, the amount i've saved eh napupunta lang din sa mga dagdag na bibilhin. Hehe.

I use pobox for purchases from the US. I've also tried johnny air retail padala for items na nagmadali ako and where i dont need consolidation. I've bought from the following sites:

Gap and old navy: use pobox's address as billing and shipping address. Di kasi pwede magkaibang country ang shipping and billing address. They ship direct to here but OA ang tax at shipping so i send to pobox. Free shipping for purchases $50 and up.

Zappos: i've bought shoes from here, for me and for my daughter. Those that are for me, i get only the brands that i know fit me well kasi o wont get to try on the shoes. So far walang sablay. They offer free shipping, no minimum amount. I'm a vip member so i get free 1-day shipping.

Amazon: most of my purchases are from here. My husband has been a (free) prime member since 2007 so we get 2-day free shipping but within the US lang so i send to pobox. I've recently had a bad experience with a reseller but good that my order was cancelled and i wasnt charged.

Vitacost.com: same as gap, use pobox address as billing address. I buy vitamins from here. Free shipping for purchaes $49 (yata) and up.

Luckyvitmain.com: cheaper here than at vitacost but minimum spend required for free shipping is $100 so di ako aabot, i buy from vitacost.

Diapers.com: i bought from here gerber food stuff for my daughter kasi pwede tingi. If i buy kasi from amazon, dapat packs of 6 or more. Masyado madami. So here, tingi.

Ralphlauren.com: they dont accept our card and yung style that works sa gap doesnt work here so friends usually buy for me then i pay them.

Ebay.com: dati toysrus.com didnt our accept our card, i think now they do. But i used ebay.com to buy TRU stuff. The same TRU.com is on ebay. I paid via paypal. I've also bought from other sellers on ebay.com also using paypal.

Spanx.com: they accept our card. Mas sulit bumili online kesa dito, whether local online or sa rustans.

Strawberrynet.com: i tried this once kasi i got groupons. Sa pque post office ang bagsak so natax pa ako. Hassle for me ang pickup sa post office so never again.

Carters.com: same strategy sa billing address as gap.

Incipio.com: got our iphone cases here. Payment was via amazon. Hassle-free din.

Local naman, i've tried the groupon/voucher sites plus some sellers at multiply/fb like:
- quigle on multiply and fb
- themommyandbabyshop or something on fb
- wee + mutsi on fb
- babyclothes atbp or something on fb
- ebay.ph for various stuff like books, cds
- fotosnaps for photo books
- photobooks philippines for photo books
- ichigo shoes
- melissa philippines

I've also tried before si myonlineshopper sa multiply. This was when i didnt know about pobox yet. Ok din siya.

I've only experienced shopping from Amazon twice then shipped via Johnny Air Cargo (JAC).
I only tried buying electronics stuff, thus the shipping charge via JAC is a bit more expensive, but compared to buying from local sellers, it is still relatively cheap.
However, there was a time when i bought a screen protector worth $1, but with the shipping fee, it ballooned so much, coz i bought it together with some other gadget, thus the combined volume was much bigger. (anyway, it was a bad experience although, thus, i tend not to buy such stuff from Amazojn anymore)

But overall, the price of stuff from Amazon is very competitive, thus me wanting for more

JAC is very convenient... dati, I used to ship with them, tipong i would claim packages twice a month or more kasi online shopping is so addictive.

I was just dismayed one time kasi I bought some stuff, mostly clothing. Tapos, they charged me 15 lbs. at first... I was shocked kasi ang konti lang ng order ko. Tapos naging 10 lbs. nalang daw kasi they adjusted the rate... I asked them if they weighed again and they confirmed so I paid nalang... Tapos, when I reached home, I weighed the box and 6 lbs. lang.... I dunno what happened lang but of course, I paid more than what I should have paid na amount.

Blessing in disguise na rin kasi nawalan ako ng gana mag-online shop and I got to save money.
