I really like Chihiro Onitsuka. Although she's not quite J-Rock or J-Pop...she's more alternative I think.

Hyde (lead singer of l'arc~en~ciel) is trying to see if he can make it in America. He's doing a few shows here, starting with one in San Francisco.

I love Chihiro Onitsuka! Also si Mika Nakashima, Utada Hikaru, Kumi Kuda, kiroro, Namie Amuro Misia (tama ba) LOL! basta yung kumanta ng everything. Tsaka larc-en-ciel,glay,chemistry,ken hirai, orange range tsaka meron pa isa nakalimutan kona. tsk

My favorite JRock band (and possibly one of my all-time favorites, meaning not just in the JRock category) is Pierrot. Great music, meaningful lyrics, charismatic band members. Sadly, they've disbanded just recently.

Other bands I like are Buck-Tick, L'Arc (an old fave, but they've gained too much popularity here XD), Janne da Arc, and a bunch of other bands. Just the non-visual kei ones.

i noticed that jap songs like anime theme for example, parang wala syang basic song structure. walang verse chorus verse.  listen to any jap anime theme parang isang buong song na iba iba yun parts at hindi na umuulit.

sobrang gusto ko rin talaga ang smap. di ako lalabas ng karaoke ng hindi kumakanta ng smap songs. lagi yan, sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana, lion heart, etc. hehe.

yung mga kat-tun and arashi songs, di pa available sa music21. hehe. pero maraming enka.

anyone into enka here, btw?

OT: Do they at least have Kinki Kids or V6 songs in Music21? Because I've never been there or any big karaoke place for that matter (I fail in life. Haha!).

I like Enka because of Kanjani8's Naniwa Iroha Bushi. Actually, most of K8's songs are quite enka in some way.
