im into photoshop din pero super beginner pa lang.. kahit papano marunong akong mag-edit ng mga pics, hehe.  im using nga pala corel photopaint, not photoshop.. but i think same [textspeak!] din sila ng features.

sa umpisa lang po mahirap and confusing ang photoshop but once you get the hang of it and you familiarize yourself with the toolbars, buttons, etc. it's really fun na.. tyaga lang talaga!!! i use photo cs2 pala..

i'm using photoshop 7. hindi ata kaya ng pc ko yung CS2. although maganda nga daw sabi ng friends ko who have it. hay... 

yup. kawawa ang processor mo sa cs2. pero super powerful!

I learned Photoshop self-study! I use it in the office for designing marketing materials like billboards, banners, and brochures. It wasn't until a couple years later when the workload became too much that they hired a teacher to come give tutorials.  I signed up cos I might learn something new, but the teacher took one look at my work and said I didn't need the class! Yipee!!!   But that was for beginners. I'm still interested in learning more, and don't even consider myself that good since I don't have a graphic design, arts, or IT background. I'll check some of the links posted here.  Thanks!!!

unang pinag-aralan ko is how to retouch photos: SMOOTH Skin
ito instruction:
- To start off, lets open up the picture you want to edit. Im working on this photof you want to use it.
- First, we need to duplicate the layer, so lets go ahead and right click on the layer in the layers pallete and select "Duplicate Layer".
Now we need to select the area we want to smooth out, in this case, we want to smooth out the face, but we want to leave the eyes, nose and mouth intact so it looks genuine. So start by switching to the quick mask mode by clicking on the "Edit in Quick Mask Mode" button in the tool box.
Then select the Brush Tool, and set the brush size to 35 soft edge. (brush size will depend on your image)

- Press "D" to reset your colors. Now use your brush and paint over the face, the painted area will become your selected area. The painted area will be red as you can see below. Continue and paint around her face until its covered like mine. You may need to change your brush size to a smaller size to cover the tighter areas.

-Tip: If you accidentally paint outside the area you want, press "X" (switches colors), then just go over the area you want to erase, then press "X" again to go back to painting your selection.

Now that you have selected your area in quick mask mode, exit the quick mask mode by pressing "Q" or clicking on the "Standard Mode" button (Next to the Edit in Quick Mask Mode button)
Now you should have a selection, around the face.

- Now, go to Select->Inverse, then Select->Feather, and enter about 10px.
Tip: You can hide the "Marching Ants" lines so you can have a better view of the image by pressing "CTRL+H"

- Now go to Filter->Blur->Guassian Blur. Set radius to about 3 pixels. That is looking too smooth, which make it look rather unrealistic, so lets put some texture back into the skin. Go to Filter->Noise->Add Noise. For amount, put about 2.5%, Uniformed and Monochromatic selected.

Voola... tapus na... smoth skin na!

i learned photoshop through self study lang din... i love tinkering and experimenting with graphic design softwares kasi  i guess if you're naturally artistic and really persistent with it then learning wouldn't be so hard. what i do is just Google along if i wanna find a certain tutorial... really helpful!

Question po.  Hindi ba pwedeng i-save as jpeg yung pictures na inedit sa Photoshop?

yup, you can. when you have a lot of layers kasi, it saves as .psd right? so what you can do it merge all layers (or flatten the image), then save as .jpg, or you can click Save As, then choose .jpg from the drop down menu. then save

when you click Save As? mali pala ako with the first option. you don't have to flatten to save. heehee! Sa Save As pala yun.
