powerbooks or national bookstore

Magaganda ang books ng Powerbooks, yun nga may variety, pero expensive, i bought a book from National Bookstore, Simple Abundance, i got it with a discount, then when i check it to Powerbooks nasa 1t plus yata or P900 while i got mine nasa P600 plus.

Sa powerbooks, napapabuksan ko [textspeak!] libro, na-i-scan ko, nakakapag decide ako whether I will buy it or not. Sa national, di ko alam if puede gawin ito.

^i think so, when i was in National Bookstore in MOA, i saw someone binuksan nya yung book kahit nakaplastic pa eh, wala naman nanita sa kanya.

Ang ganda ng place  ng Powerbooks sa Greenbelt, kaya mas feel ko dung bumili ng books.  Pwede ka ring umupo upo lang at mag basa ng ibang books, so pag nagpapalipas ako ng oras habang may hinihintay dun lang ako. And the assistants are very accomodating. Pero minsan mas mura din sa Powerbooks. Yung hardbound na remember me 799.00 sa NBS, 789 sa Powerbooks.

^me naman sis, nakabili ako ng Simple Abundance (hardbound pa) less 20% sa NBS, pero ng makita ko sa Powerbooks, mas mahal pa din kahit gawin pang regular price yung nabili ko sa NBS.  Mabuti na lang at nakita ko agad yun, kasi ang plan ko sa Powerbooks bumili, nung naghanap kasi ako sa NBS Robinson's Ermita, out of stock na, i got mine sa NBS MOA.

I prefer Powerbooks..whether you are buying or just browsing, the staff are so accommodating.  They would assist your needs talaga.  Tested na yan, many times..Unlike sa National Bookstore, where I went yesterday after my visit sa Powerbooks because the books I am looking were out of stock.  Sa NBS, pag may tinatanong ka, itinuturo lang ng kamay. Sa Powerbooks, sila ang kukuha ng book for you and if you request to browse the sealed book, ipagbubukas ka pa nila. Sa NBS kahapon, sabi ba naman, "Sige Mam, buksan nyo po." Sagot ko naman, "Baka masira ko ang book. Wala bang pwedeng mag-assist?" Dun lang kumuha ng cutter yong clerk to open it for me. haaay..

Customers, like me, look for good service.  Minsan tuloy kahit available ang item sa store na walang good service, di bale na lang.  I'd rather wait for the item's availability.  Sa Powerbooks, when the item is out of stock, they would get your contact number and advise you when a copy is available.  One time, Powerbooks Megamall advised me of the book I was searching.  Sabi ko alanganin ang location ko to pick it up.  Since malapit ako sa Powerbooks Robinson's Ermita that time, they delivered the book there and dun ko na binili at no extra cost.  That is excellent service! Keep it up, Powerbooks!

i have to say na winner ang powerbooks..very inviting yung environment ng powerbooks..ang sarap sarap magbasa ng books..unlike sa NBS na masikip although minsan mahal nga lang..accomodating talaga mga staff nila..superb customer service..

Lately I notice books are cheaper in Powerbooks than NBS.

I prefer Powerbooks, they provide better customer service and better ambiance.  Usually I buy supplies sa National, I have cards for both though.

Dito ko lang nalaman mas expensive pala sa Powerbooks

Mas expensive ba talaga sa Powerbooks compared sa NBS. Hindi ko pa naisip i-compare. Still, mas preferred ko Powerbooks. Marami kasing mga NBS na masikip and mas focused sa school supplies.

i like scanning books in powerbooks. if i decided that i want to buy it, i'll go to national (kuripot ako!). but sometimes wala talaga sa national so balik powerbooks.

I could read books in powerbooks esp. if they have really comfy couch to sit.
Pero if meron sa NBS, edi dun since mas mura. Most of my finds are from PB since they're hardbound.
