A bunch of questions about food

Ok so, I'm going to type a bunch of things that I think I know about food, and some questions as well. If anyone would be so kind as to come along and correct me, or answer a question, I would be super happy!

Myth or fact? - Vitamins are unnecessary if you're able to provide a full and balanced diet every day.

Question - Foods such as rice are a good source of calories, but provide little nutrients. Assuming I have a large meal of a low nutrient food, then take vitamins and supplements, how is it different than eating a full and balanced diet without vitamins?

Myth or fact? - Fruits are (mostly) high in calories, and contain a lot of sugars, but not harmful to the body. Pure sugar and high fructose corn syrup, however, are.

Question - What's the difference between sugar and high fructose corn syrup? Are they both bad?

Question - How can I tell natural sugars and corn syrup apart in products like jellies? The labels on everything says just "Sugars" and nothing else.

Myth or fact? - It's unimportant whether or not a full and balanced meal is eaten in one large serving, or six smaller servings throughout the day.

Question - Processed meats and cheese lose a lot of their nutrients, but are they harmful in any way?

Question - What are some "fake" foods, things that are not acceptable to eat as a part of a meal under any circumstances?

Question - Is bacon bad, why?

Ok, I'm done I think. Thank you very much to anyone that takes the time to answer!
