What?s the biggest obstacle prevent you from getting into new genre?

As the title said, which difficulty you had to face when you first try listening to a new genre? To me, it?s the dynamic and volume mixing of classical music. I?ve been listened to different genres including heavy one like noise rock or experimental but they?re nowhere near the unexpected frustration when listening to classical music especially some concerto or symphony. For example, a softly piano/string movement playing softly and then suddenly a loud bang come up outta nowhere that make my ears bleed. Another aspect is you have to literally invest time, proper equipment to truly appreciate classical music, I?m not an audiophile, but I have some IEMs and it?s quite itchy when I slightly have the idea of how this piece?s supposed to sound like but my IEMs are not great enough to hit it https://19216811.cam/  https://1921681001.id/ .
