It is puzzling why Pacific Rim didn't become a prominent IP

I recently rewatched Pacific Rim and still felt the shocked of first time witnessing massive mechs and industrial grandeur sitting in the cinema, along with its iconic soundtrack(like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Avengers etc. )However, unlike franchises like Transformers and Godzilla, which also focus on mechs and monsters, Pacific Rim hasn't translated into extensive merchandise or theme park presence like them omegle xender . Despite its superior production quality, it falls short in becoming a recognized IP. The film's emphasis on humans triumphing over fate, evoking a sense of humanity's defiance against destiny which is TF and Godzilla lack of, makes me wonder why Pacific Rim hasn't achieved IP status.
