I developed a shrimp allergy after childbirth.

I?m so sad. I grew up near the ocean and have eaten shrimp my entire life. I also have a severe peanut allergy that was found out when I was 2 years old. This one seems to be on similar levels of severity-I eat some and then within half and hour I?m experiencing anaphylactic shock.

Has anyone else developed an allergy after having a kiddo? Is there an explanation for this, should I be concerned about hormone imbalances or something?

If I have a shrimp allergy does that mean I?m allergic to other shellfish like scallops and oysters?
