Wrong shoe theory

The internet describes it as: "In short, the theory revolves around picking a shoe for an outfit that is traditionally so wrong that it actually makes the outfit more interesting and unique." Apparently it was coined from Allison Bornstein (a stylist who posted about it on Tiktok).

I've been seeing it a lot in the form of dad sneakers with pretty dresses, but there's a lot of other examples rolling around out there.
