Childcare during labor

24 weeks pregnant here and my doctor informed me that I'm only allowed one support person during labor and even during postpartum. They also said children aren't allowed in the delivery room OR postpartum room. I'm freaking out because we just moved 2500 miles away from family and friends and we don't know anyone out here. I feel uncomfortable leaving my toddler with a stranger while I give birth, and naturally I don't want to give birth without my boyfriend there for support 10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254 .

Initially my mom offered to fly down to help out and even made it sound like she had talked to her boss about taking the vacation time, but now she's backing out (typical of her) saying it's too expensive (they could easily save up if they wanted to but the fact is they never could be bothered to visit us even when we lived 5 minutes away. They'd always insist I bring my daughter to them and not the other way around. My mom even had the outlandish suggestion that I fly down at 9 months pregnant with my toddler in tow, give birth in my hometown away from my boyfriend, then after a few weeks when they've had the chance to "ooh and ahh" over the new grandbaby, fly back home 2500 miles with the toddler AND newborn in tow 🤦‍♀️. I just feel like she shouldn't have offered to fly down in the first place if she wasn't going to follow through with it).

Anyway I'm stressing about it, and my parents suggested calling around to different hospitals and explaining the situation to see if there's one nearby that I can deliver at that will allow my toddler to be there. But I feel like this stipulation will be common everywhere, won't it? Has anyone had experience with this? My anxiety is through the roof over it.
