How did Depeche Mode last into the 90s?

I?ve noticed a lot of stereotypically 80s bands pretty much have their career killed by grunge and changing trends of the early 90s. Depeche Mode has Violator in 1990 which makes sense, because usually the first couple years of a decade are an extension of the previous, but throughout the 90s they kept their relevancy, and kept the quality up  router login 192.168.l.l.link/ . I was listening to ?Its No Good? and I saw it was from 1997. I was so shocked, and amazed. How do you think they survived the changing times when other bands of their time faded away?
