Cheap wedding venue ideas?

FH and I aren't wanting to spend loads on our wedding. We want it to be pretty, but not cost an arm and a leg. Our churches we attend aren't super pretty and would kind of cause an awkward set up. I've looked at local venues and they are thousands of dollars. Does anyone have any suggestions for some neat, pretty and cheap places for a wedding?
