Protein shake question.

So, I am vegan and I have been gaining weight over the past couple years (I am 35 right now). I tried to count calories to lose weight, but it didn't seem to be working. Then I found out about macros and I think this was a big turning point for me. I found out that I was eating mostly carbs, not a lot of protein and not a lot of fat. I have recently set things up to lose 1 pound a week if I follow my diet strictly. The thing is that I don't want to consume anything that will hamper my testosterone because being vegan I need all the help I can get. For example I can't eat cholesterol because there are no plant sources for it, but it is known to boost testosterone. So when I first was making my protein shake I would get a stomach ache after drinking it, then I added almond butter and I stopped getting stomach aches when I drank my protein shake. I thought maybe it was the oil that was helping me digest all that protein. Well almonds can hamper testosterone, so I switched to brazil nut butter (plenty of oil) and I'm back to getting stomach aches when I drink my shake. Does anyone know why this is?
