6 years but no engagement proposal yet

Hi GT sisters, seeking your advice. 6 years na kami ng bf ko and we are at our early 30s. May ipon and a good career. However, wala pa ring engagement proposal na nagaganap.

One of the main reasons I can see is the fact that bf is taking care of his parents. They are already senior citizens and the rest of his siblings have already moved out. 4 sila magkakapatid pero siya na lang natira sa parents nya. The rest is in the province or abroad. Hindi nya maiwan ng basta basta since he is responsible for them.

Has anyone been in this same situation? I try to be understanding and patient but as a woman, may needs din ako. I also want to have kids and a family of my own. I do not want to end up like his aunt na hindi na nakapag asawa dahil sa same situation.

Isa lang solusyon sa problem mo sis... Talk to your bf and ask him if ano ba plano niya sa relationship niyo kasi di na kayo bata. It would also help if you tell him your goals and plans in life. If you really want him to be your husband, dapat may open communication na kayo sa isa't isa.
