Thoughts on IUD?

Hey ladies! So I recently had an appointment with my gynaecologist and I told her I wasn?t really happy with the pill anymore. I?m over the mood swings, weight fluctuations, no sex drive and overly emotional moments. It?s my third pill and although they start off well they always end up being a mess for me. A friend of mine has an IUD and she seems really happy with it, plus the doctor said it would be a good solution for me. She checked to see if there was any reason I couldn?t have one and we?re clear, I had to go get tested since they need a recent proof that you?re 100% clean (blood test came out clean, just need to do another test which is scheduled next week) and then wait until I get my period to get it fixed. Although I have to pay to get it placed, the IUD itself is payed by social security and I?ll have nothing to pay for 5 years until I get it changed. Most of my friends are on the pill so I don?t have a lot of feedback but I?d like to get some advice and how you feel towards it

^Hi sis. I had mine 4 months after I gave birth in 2016. The procedure was done in my OB's clinic lang, medyo masakit pag nilagay pero after few minutes okay na. Nag spot din ako ng konti that day which was normal daw. I think the best advantage of IUD pero my OB is that hindi "nagagalaw" yung ovaries mo so you won't have issues in case you want to conceive na. I didn't notice side effects, though a friend of mine said that she knows someone na tumaba while on IUD. Not sure if my weight gain was caused by it, my doc has not mentioned anything related naman. I had mine removed just last March, as suggested by my rheumatologist. I have an autoimmune disorder kasi which manifested after I gave birth, and my IUD was considered a "foreign body" which could cause the disease. It could also be that I am an isolated case, just unlucky because what I have is rare.
