How to help?

2. Health tips: Sanitize. Wash hands for 20 seconds. Use 70% alcohol. Drink vitamins. Get enough sleep.

4. Secure your family's need but not to hoard the basic necessities. Hoarding creates panic.
5. Be considerate of other people. If you have enough resources or a lot of resources, she recommends on stocking up on local products like non-necessities or those that have premium price. Leave the affordable priced products to the minimum wage earners and if you support locally-made products, the workers will continue to have employment.
6. Take advantage of social media to spread awareness. She also said we should not be afraid to be critical of our government if they have lapses.

How to help after the Enhanced Community Quarantine is lifted:

1. Think of ways how we can help the 1.1 million/billion (?) workers who lost their jobs. Increase demand for manpower and services. How? We need to consume them. If you have the option to buy a product, choose local.

She also mentioned that she was supposed to go to Japan this month before the announcement of the lockdown but she opted not to push thru with the trip because she's afraid that while she may be safe she may infect other people (Hmmm... parang may kilala tayo na opposite ginawa haha) She has officemates who are older and who have families and she doesn't want them to bring the virus at home.

2. Support local tourism.

3. Support small to medium businesses.

4. If you're going to buy something, avail of a service or any good, if you have the resources to do so... give tips.

5. Hire services of people. She mentioned Goodwork.

6. Continue with the donations. A lot of people will not be able to resume employment.

7. If you're of legal age, make sure to register to vote and vote wisely. Remember those politicians who did VIP testing. Let's make better choices and informed decisions.

also, walang ads? o ako lang ba? if wala talagang ads, it means she does not intend to monetize this video, she just wants to spread awareness.

Maybe it feels wrong din kasi to earn money from your viewers at this time. Knowing that most of her subscribers are quarantined at home and may be privileged enough to have an internet connection, very tempting talaga na tadtarin ng ads. So plus points for her.

Uy mga sis, I just saw Ashley Sandrine's IG post 5 days ago about Huawei and it's pleasantly surprising to see her tagging it as a "Paid partnership w/ Huawei". It's very rare to find a local youtuber who does that

Oo! Tama! Kase dapat ang mindset natin ay carrier na tayo ng virus. Hindi man tayo maapektuhan pero yung other people na mahina, pwedeng sila yung mag-suffer. Tapos butterfly effect na mangyayari just because we became too selfish only thinking about ourself, kahit pa sabihin mo na you will self quarantine!

 Tama din yung sabi nya na now is not the time to be apathetic. That is the term I was looking for. Yung iba kase na YTubers, memapo lang talaga. Nawawalan na ng apathy sa ibang tao.

I think kaya po walang ads kasi demonetized sa YT ang vids na mababanggit ang covid. I heard it from Rhaze kasi ganoon ang nangyari sa isang vlog niya. However, alam ko naman na maganda ang intent at content ng video ni Thea. Something na hindi ilalabas ng mga sikat na Pinoy YTers.

^Korek, bawal ang may ads pag covid ang topic. For me lang naman okay lang naman may mga ads ang videos nila kasi yon ang trabaho nila, ang hindi okay yung sponsored na nga video hindi pa nila  sasabihin na "This is sponsored by _______" Sa ibang countries required sabihin na sponsored yung ganito ganyan. Kahit don na lang sa part na yon maging honest ang ibang local youtubers. May influence pa rin naman sila kahit sabihin nilang sponsored o hindi. Si AC's life hindi nya direct na sinasabing sponsored yung video nya pero atleast sa dulo ng mga video nya may mga banners siya iniinclude, way din yon to let his viewers know na the video is sponsored. Big clap naman to AC's life asking for donations, tama lang na ginamit nya yung influence nya sa followers nya. May initiative, mas bet ko yon kesa pipilitin.

Ok lang din sa akin may ads pero wag yung Shek level na ads na tipong 30 minute video tapos parang every 5 mins meron hahaha and yes I agree with disclosing kung sponsored ba siya or hindi or ganito nalang anything Luxe Organix videos nung 2 AC eh obvious na sponsored na.

True ka dito. I like ACsLife?s initiative to use his platform, same as Mae Layug and Nina Rayos na nagpagawa ng PPE suits sa mga frontliners. Yan dapat ang mga sinusundan. Yes, tama naman na big or small as long as you donate is ok, pero bilang influencer yiu should set a good example sa mga viewers mo, hindi yung icocall out ka pa saka ka magsasabi na ?tumulong ako? or ?i donated...? kung kaya mo nga maginfluence ng mga products mo at mag post ng walang kapararakan bakit pag dating dito quiet yung iba?

Kaloka si ACz, pinangangalandakan pa yung pagpupuyat nila. Sa gabi sila gising at sa umaga tulog. May dalawa syang anak na bata, hindi nila dapat sinasanay sa ganun lalong lalo na yung bunso. O baka may magcallout na naman sakin at sabihin na wag pakialaman yung pagiging magulang nila ACz. Lol

Most YTers kase e pera pera lang talaga kaya kung [textspeak!] ano na lang ang inuupload. Si Thea may mission talaga sya na maka-influence sa mga tao kaya yung mga videos nya talagang pinagiisipan nya.

Speaking of sponsored ads, naalala ko na naman Tiger Balm at Luxe Organix nung dalawang AC 🤦🏻‍♀️

Pilit tayong pinapaniwala na ginagamit talaga nila in their daily lives, dinadala sa travels, hino-hoard sa ibang bansa para ipasalubong, etc. Halos araw araw or mayat maya i-mention or ipakita sa vlogs. Then nung tapos na ang contract, boom! Ni anino nung product di mo na makita.

We cant totally blame these Youtubers naman, baka yun ang marketing strategy nung brand, yun ang nakasaad sa contract nila at sumusunod lang sila. And I think wala din naman silang nilalabag na batas by doing so? Correct me if Im wrong, di naman sila required dito sa Pilipinas na ilagay kung sponsored yun?

I guess in the end it boils down to these two:
1. Integrity ng Youtuber - its totally up to her to state that this is a sponsored post/video
2. Susceptability of the viewer - its up to us to distinguish whether what youre watching is a sponsored post or not at kung magpapa budol tayo 😆

^wala pang batas sa pilipinas to disclose them as ads/sponsored. pero dapat meron na kasi it's faulty marketing strategy.

I can understand if nasa toiletry bag mo. Pero she said kaya daw nasa bag nya kase takot sya na baka mawala while in transit kung nasa toiletry bag nya sa checked in baggage bec she takes her pimple very, very seriously. I mean ... ulit!

I don't know how the video sponsorship works here sa local pero yung mga international YouTubers kase, they just have to disclose that their video is sponsored by this kahit walang kinalaman yung topic ng video sa product. Sa Pinas kase, hala maisingit lang yung product gagawan na ng video. Kunyari mimiyuuh's cooking na sponsored ng sardinas ba yun ( sorry I stopped watching her videos na kase dami sponsors, nawawalan ng authenticity. Ako lang yun ha) 

It makes the viewers question your authenticity and credibility na kase sponsored naman yan, of course, you have to say something nice sa product, pano ka babayaran. Tapos paulit ulit pa yung banggit. Umay!

Again, ako lang yun. Baka human nature din, pag pinipilit mas lalong ayaw ka nga itry

Its the government's job nga mga sis, dapat maging taxable na rin siya dahil unfair to sa mga working class. Sa totoo lang mas malaki pa ang kita nila sa mga ordinaryong mangagawa na naloloko nila sa mga videos nila.

yung mga collabs with brands, hindi ba yan taxable? kasi shempre the brands need an official receipt or tax invoice (na registered with BIR) diba? unless kayang lusutan ng brands yan sa BIR.
