Help with dermarolling stretch marks?

I've just recently learned that dermarolling (specifically with a 1.50mm roller) can help tremendously with stretch marks on the body. I have watched a ton of dermarolling videos on stretch marks but I didn't see this kind of thing on their skin after they rolled - red perpendicular lines after i dermarolled a certain area.. please see the picture.. is this normal when dermarolling with 1.50mm on the body or am i doing something wrong?
