If this was just a tax issue, it could easily be settled with and by the proper department. I HIGHLY DOUBT that ABSCBN would risk losing their license kung pera lang din naman pala ang kailangan. Hindi na daw i-di-discuss sa House of Representative yun renewal ng contract ng ABS-CBN. So most likely, hindi na talaga ma-re-renew yun franchise nila. OMG. What's happening?!

Hopefully, may plan B ang ABS kasi kawawa yung mga mawawalan ng work. Lalo na yung mga staff and crew. Kasi at least yung mga artista kahit paano pwede yan maka-raket, may mga ipon, etc.

Sa panahon ngayon na ini-educate ang karamihan about bullying, here's come the president personal nya na problema because sa ads na hindi na air? President na sya ngayon anong sense bakit kailangan pigilan ang renewal ng abs?  kawawa naman yung mga solid supporter nya na nagwowork sa abs.

The rich will always survive no matter what...lol! Anyways, I am curious as to how the government will make this happen. I have never heard of anyone done this. Medyo tagilid sya dyan, at least I think so. I am sure the Lopez's will exhaust all their resources to prevent this from happening. But they can still exist naman online. Maraming media companies na exclusively online nowadays.

Yung director na brother ni Cayetano, ABS din ang nagtiwala dun. Ang laki rin naman ng tulong sa kanila nung network. Kawawa yung mga employees. Sabagay uso naman online platforms ngayon. Baka gayahin ng ABSCBN ang China. Halos lahat ng drama/variety producers online din.

^^It will all boil down to the legality of everything. Hindi biro magpasara ng isang malaking company. So I will set aside my bias regarding this matter. However, bakit kasi tumatanggap sila ng pera for advertisement tapos hindi nila ibabalik once they decide they don't want to. Kasi victim din pala si Chiz Escudero. Eh ilan kaya yun na hindi nagsasalita for fear of the backlash? That is highway robbery regardless of how you put it. I will just consider this a popcorn moment. Mas interesting ang Manila Water scandal.

This is also the reason kung bakit halos lahat na ng celebs ng ABS is turning into yt vloggers. Paunti-unting transition, kasi need nila ng continuous income pa rin if ever man di talaga makapagrenew si network.

True, Presidents come and go. Filipino dynasties (well most of them) have stayed for decades.

Sadly I have no faith that the current Philippine legal system will be fair with this issue. They'll do what Duterte wants them to do.

Last week Duterte was picking on Sharon Cuneta and her hubby. This week naman ABS CBN, I am sure he will pick on someone else from showbiz next week. So much for his campaign na change is coming . Just another politician with his personal vendettas and agenda.

I didn't even know the President said that...LOL! Kalurkey naman si Digong, wag na sya mag-showbiz chismis. Leave that to Lolit Solis, nemen! But since nabalitaan nya, then I am thinking there's a grain of truth to that. Hindi naman impossible.

Anyway, I was also happy that Frankie took him on. Bata pa sya pero hindi sya takot. Alam nya naman sa tama sya and who wouldn?t defend their family when somebody talks badly about them, lalo na if hindi totoo.

Re: ABS, the rich, those level as the tycoons, would always be rich. The Lopezes can just quit everything and live like normal people, maybe franchise some Jollibees or Mcdo if they want a quiet life, and they will still be rich. Lol. Kaya ang kawawa talaga sa closure ay yung employees. Yung skills pa kasi nila for a media/broadcasting company which is not that many around. Advertisers would also be affected with 1 less TV station - and the one with the most ad revenues at that. Ang dami talagang jobs of normal Filipinos na affected.
