Which makes it more messed up. Because why would you condone your own niece who is a minor to have a relationship with someone who is already married and that old? And if I am Claudine, why would I allow myself to be the fall guy considering I am, at that time, was still very much married. Mine might be an unpopular opinion, but anyways...
If Gretchen was indeed sincere and does not want to cause trouble, she should have gone to her father's wake when not a lot of people were present so she can pay her respect peacefully. Tapos, sa babang luksa siguro, maybe she can talk to her siblings with a mediator like her mom or a relative who is neutral.

Ang hirap kasi that after all these years, you bad talk your parents and vice versa, then all of a sudden you show up just like that. Eh alam mo naman that magulo pamilya nyo, and that somehow, you would have known that showing up will ignite the ire of some people. Kung gusto ng tahimik and walang fanfare, di sana madaling araw ka nagpunta, and hindi yung maraming media.

Itong nanay naman nila, wala ba siyang voice para sawayin mga anak nya, even if they're of age already, she, being the matriarch of the family should be able to put a stop or at least minimize the ongoing feud. Or if its not the mom, pwede naman siguro any of the elder sibling.

Or, maybe, not a member of the clan can minimize the damage since they are one big demented family. Sad.

But it's not about her, it's about her late dad. And kahit anong oras naman sya magpunta, galit pa din naman sa kanya si Marjorie and some of the other members of the family, but again, it's not about her nor Marjorie nor anyone else but her dad.

Gretchen may be a lot of things but it took some courage to swallow her pride and be there knowing that she's not wanted. Ang pinagkaiba nila ni Marjorie is that Gretchen at least knows how to be civil. Iba din naman kaplastikan sa pagiging civil, after all, hinde naman sya nag intiate na lumapit kay Marjorie or makipag shake hands without the President attempting to reconcile them. Si Marjorie, kung hinde nya talaga take na andon si Gretchen, ehdi sana lumabas na lang muna sya. Afterall, gaya ng lage nyang pinagmamalaki, kasama naman nya dad nila til the very end diba? But the thing is, she still had to make that scenario about HER. Sya ba pinunta ni Gretchen don, eh hinde naman sya yung nakaburol.

^ Good points Rics, I agree that Gretchen should have visited in the hospital while their father was ill but siguro she wasn't ready to go into enemy territory. Pero yung wake hindi niya  kayang i-miss.

I have been reading all the statements from those involved, and it has reached a point where I think NOBODY is being truthful na. These people are now being deceitful or lying and manipulating the public with their own versions of "Truth".

Oh please, Atong Ang cannot deny that Nicole was his girlfriend for several years (NOT assistant lang). Sa google pa lang and Instagram and in published news articles, she has been described as Atong's GIRLFRIEND. Claudine posted in her own Facebook many years ago and she described Nicole as the "love of the life" of Atong Ang. Those are Claudine's own words. Tapos when Dominique was studying in London, there were lots of photos on Instagram of Atong Ang and Nicole vacationing in London and hanging out with Gretchen and Dominique and AA and Nicole were very affectionate in the pictures.

Right now the public sympathy is with Gretchen but if I were Gretchen I would stop all the numerous social media angry posts. Even if she is responding to Marjorie and/or Julia's posts, dapat selective na lang, hindi isa isa. I think she should stop while she's still ahead in this battle to win the public sympathy.
