Anyone knows if American citizen na parents ni Mariel when she was born or she was only petitioned when she was an adult already? If this is the case, then green card holder or US immigrant  muna status niya before she became a US citizen. However, there is a continuous US 5 year residency before you are granted US citizenship. Hindi naman nawala ng 5 years si Mariel sa pinas. So baka triggered sa takot si Robin hood kasi baka maungkat ng Homeland Security. If she lied in her US citizenship application and interview that she has satisfied the 5 years continuous requirement, then that is tantamount to fraud and her US citizenship can be withdrawn.

Talaga namang hypocrite si Robin kasi halos magmakaawa at lumuhod siya sa US embassy para mabigyan lang ng US visa. Sana forever blacklisted na siya.

May nabasa pa ako article na doon pala sa US balak nila ni Mariel pag aralin yung mga anak nila. 😒 oh ha? Napaka makabayan nila koya. Tapos if ever mag ka civil war dito sa pinas if ever lang naman unang lalabas yung mag iina nya at flylalu sa US mautak din si Robin kahit yung ibang anak nya like Kylie is Australian citizen din. Kaya dapat stop nya na bashing sa US lalo pa ngayon na sesave na lahat ng sinasabi nya against  doon at kahit may absolute pardon sya I doubt mabibigyan sya ng visa. 2016 sya ng pardon until now na 2019 wala pa rin visa.

^^Her dad is an American citizen so hinde sya dumaan sa immigrant status. Also, hinde ganon kadali mag falsify  ng documents for citizenship because to prove the domicile, you need the passport stamps, proof of school/work while in the US, etc. Also, it doesn't need to be continuous 5 years, pwedeng accumulative. So na establish na na US ctizen sya talaga, I think we can rest that case.

My mom who was a naturalized US citizen petitioned for me in 1991 as a single over 21 and naging immigrant muna ako until 1996 when I applied for US citizenship. When I had to visit the Philippines, I made sure na sandali lang ako kasi dapat sa US ka nakatira and baka maapektuhan application mo. However, I know a lot of people na nagpapatatak lang sa NAIA na kunyari sandali lang sila sa Philippines pero they are really living over there and pabalik balik lang sa US (mostly senior citizens). Sila pa kaya na madaming pera at connections.

My aunt who is a US citizen since the 1960s also petitioned her siblings and nung nakarating sila dito they all started as immigrants muna.

And it should be 5 years continuous, not accumulative when I googled it just now:

"As a permanent resident, you are generally eligible for naturalization after five years. This is the most common way that people apply to become a U.S. citizen. To qualify, you must have lived in the U.S. continuously for the five years immediately preceding the date you file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization."

Mukha namang di sa US pinanganak parents ni Mariel. So hindi siya bigla US citizen, dumaan muna sa pagka immigrant. Hindi naman natin napansin na tumira si Mariel ng 5 years sa US. Hula ko lang naman ito kasi sobrang na trigger si Robin sa comment ng basher, parang may takot din na baka ituloy ang balak na i report sa HS and mag imbestiga kung na satisfy nga niya talaga ang 5 year continuous residency requirement.

Pero who knows? Baka US citizen na father niya BEFORE Mariel was born in the Philippines. In which case, baka nga US passport holder na siya. Maaga palang naghiwalay parents niya and her father married again sa US and may dalawang half siblings siya sa NJ. On the other hand, if her father only petitioned for her when he became a naturalized US citizen, then definitely nag start muna siya as an immigrant.  Nakakataka lang kasi ang galit ni robin hood sa basher eh.

^That's what I've been telling you. Her dad has been a US citizen ever since. Hinde naturalized, US citizen talaga which is exactly my case. My dad was a US citizen even before I was born so the citizenship was passed down to me even if I was born in the Philippines. What I have in lieu of a birth certificate is a Certificate of Live birth Abroad, which Mariel Rodriguez also has. Ayan siguro naman clear na tong issue na to. Nakakaloka. She has all the right to give birth in the US. Ka ipokritohan lang ng asawa nya issue ditto.

Let's just accept the fact that there are people na citizens of certain countries dahil sa convenience. It has nothing to do with allegiance. That's not a secret anymore...LOL! Pero pwede ka pa rin namang maging proud sa heritage at ethnicity mo kahit di ka Pinoy sa papel.
