wala din ako nakitang mali sa post ni angel. sadyang madami lang talaga ang sensitive sa mundo. malamang naman kasi hahanapin sya kung wala sya dun kaya nagexplain sya. wala naman ako nakitang 'shade' sa ibang artista sa post nya. kumbaga kanya-kanyang paraan ang pagtulong nila. yung sa kanya, yung direct na pagdonate; yung sa ibang artista, pag-attend to promote awareness and help the beneficiaries.

Siguro kung yong charitable institution yong nagorganize ng event tapos nag post si angel ng ganon eh ok lang... kaso mo employer nya yong nagorganize tapos sila syempre mga artista ang ginagamit para maka attract ng attention at awareness so parang off and dating sa employer and kapwa artista...

I can sense you still didn't get the intention. I understand. Hindi naman talaga nakakaintindi lahat. Regardless naman anong gawin, people will still have something to comment about. I know naman na Angel most likely has no ill intention sa post niya, pero parang pangit lang talaga pakinggan. Naging humble-bragging ang labas. She, as an artista at empleyado ng company should know na ang mga ganitong event ay pampabango sa pangalan ng kompanya. Kung lahat ng talent ay gawin ang ginawa niya, skip and just donate, eh di lalangawin ang mga events na ganito.

Maganda din naman ang layunin, malalaking artista creates buzz so, kailangan talaga ang presence nila para magkaroon ng awareness ang mga tao about sa event at ang pinaka-importante sa charity.

Anyway, I checked her insta to see kung tumaba talaga siya. She doesn't look the same in her heydays, pero I don't think na kailangan maging conscious siya. She still looks really gorgeous.

Mas maganda para sa akin kung nag dahilan na lang siya na may important event na pupuntahan like project or shooting, kaya hindi naka dalo, tapos saka niya sinabi sana na "dont worry, I will do my share to support Bantay Bata 163".

Kesa sa sinabi pa niya na kaya hindi siya makakadalo eh kasi yung gagastusin niya sa gown and all eh ido donate na lang niya.

For me, hindi magandang reason, kasi abs cbn ang pasimuno ng event (her bosses), She knew her presence  is needed kaya nga siya invited eh para maka tawag ng attention para mas madami ang magkaroon ng awareness sa Bantay Bata 163 at madami pang tumulong, eh tapos sasabihin lang niya na "kesa gastusin ko sa gown ko. i do donate ko na lang".

Eh para na rin sinabi ni Angel, na tigilan na ang star magic ball, na tigilan na mag attend ng mga social events na yan, kasi kesa gumastos eh i donate na lang.

Hindi niya naisip na, kailangan din ang presence niya dun sa event to invite people especially her fans to help Bantay Bata 163.

Kasi sa sinabi niya, para na rin niyang sinabi in a subtle way na pag aaksaya lang ng pera at oras ang abs cbn ball lalo na para dun sa mga umattend na co artists niya.

^That's how I feel too. While I don't think she was being malicious sa post niya, it still missed the point of the event. More than sa pa-gown and everything, kaya nandun yung mga artista to bring awareness and attention sa Bantay Bata and sa mga nangangailangan. Also, to celebrate na rin the 65 years of her network plus the late Gina Lopez. Parang ang naging dating kasi is 'above' siya sa event. She could've said na she chose to rest na lang instead of attending the event but she did her share by donating and encourage din others to donate. Hindi na niya sana sinabi na yung gagastusin niya eh ido-donate na lang.  Para talagang na-diss mga nag-attend kahit unintentionally pa.

Again, while her intentions are good, I feel like it shouldn't have been posted. Tapos the way she responded pa to some of the comments medyo defensive. Even yung mga constructive naman yung criticism and sinabi nang maayos yung thoughts nila sa event. Oh well. Live and let live na lang, I guess.

Diba nga sa mga elite, they hold charities and pabonggahan lahat. Now kung may ayaw um-attend ng ganon, hinde naman siguro dahil feeling 'above' others sya, or pwede din naman na ganon nga, nasa kanya na yon. Pero hinde naman ibig sabihin na hinde nakakaintindi. So ingat din tayo sa mga sinasabe natin.

Kung kaibigan ko si Angel, yan ang ipapaliwanag ko sa kanya.

Kailangan niya makita na subtle way niyang sinabi na pag aaksaya ng pera ang abs cbn ball.  At yung mga co artists niya na nag punta eh nag aksaya lang ng oras at pera.

Tapos after this ball... how about sa mga susunod pang mga taon.. sa 2020 ball, ano mag donate na lang din siya kesa umattend at gumastos pa sa gown?

So ibig bang sabihin ni Angel eh NEVER na siya aattend sa abs cbn ball and parties? Dahil kesa gumastos siya eh i donate na lang niya diba?

So following Angel's reasoning ganito ba dapat:

1. Kesa igastos nila sa kasal ni Niel sa damit, gown, reception, church etc. eh i donate na lang niya.

2. Kesa i pang honeymoon nila at gumastos eh i donate na lang niya.

3. YUNG mga guests niya sa kasal.. kesa gumastos ang mga guests sa gown nila sa pag attend sa kasal niya eh huwag na lang pumunta sa kasal ni angel at niel at i donate na lang..

And so on and so forth... ganyan ba angel?

Mali eh. Mali ka dun Angel.

Hindi mo pinahalagahan ang event na meron naman magandang layunin. Yun lang yun.

Uy just to clarify, I don't think Angel thinks she's above the ball or the event ha. Ibig ko lang sabihin na pwedeng ma-misinterprete yung post niya na ganun ibig sabihin or implication ng post niya. Again, I don't think Angel was being malicious sa post niya but I also don't think it came across well kaya may mga nag-react ng nega.

regarding sa mga friends ni angel, alangan naman mag-react sila negatively at palakihin ang controversy. I also don't think na this is worth crucifying her over, napapansin lang na hindi maganda ang labas even if most likely hindi naman masama intention niya.

Angel Locsin donated, so yay! Okay na yun. Umattend sya or hindi, nagsalita sya or hindi, may mga batang matutulungan ang Bantay Bata with her, and the other artists' donations, so it's a win. That's the purpose naman of the ball eh, so purpose fulfilled.

And like someone here said, mukhang okay lang naman sa mga katrabaho nya, at mukhang okay lang naman din sa ABSCBN - non-issue kung baga for the people involved, (that we all seem to be so concerned about) so everybody happy naman.

Personally, I find it refreshing when celebs choose to air their opinions (kahit pa maging unpopular opinion), it makes them more human for me. Sure, Angel could have easily said "I have  other commitments" and be on her merry way (which I doubt. Kasi kahit ano naman ata idahilan nya, people will find fault if they wanted to find fault) I'm glad she chose to make a point though - not everybody will take it the way she means it, but that's okay. Some did, and that's what matters.
