RADIOACTIVE IODINE TREATMENT

Hi,  newbie here, I just want to ask lang po sa mga may history sa thyroid problems or may mga goiter po at nakapag pagamot na using Radioactive Iodine treatment, is it safe po ba? need bang i-confine sa hospital ng ilang days? -- and how does it feel po after ng treatment? are there any side effects po?.

Pasensya na po, im considering po kasi na magpa radioacive treatment, na diagnosed po kasi ako na may hyperthyroidism year 2015 since then nag ooral po ako, then year 2016 nag stop ako ng oral and stop seeing my doctor kasi kala ko okay na sya, and wala naman na akong nararamdaman, little did i know umaatake pala sya ng palihim na pati yung sugar ko na triggered which result to confinement in the hospital last october 2017 for 1 week, for the first 3 days ko, sa ICU ako dahil yung sugar ko po ay nag 350 to 400... and yung heart rate ko is di bumababa ng 350 bpm, akala ko talaga katapusan ko na nun, kasi tinapat na ng doctor ko yung mother ko na delikado daw yung case ko kaya kailangan ng matinding pagbabantay, pero awa naman ng diyos nakaligtas ako that time,. and until now still fighting pa din po and taking meds, ni recommend ng doctor ko na mag pa radioactive nga po, pero since wala akong alam about dun , kaya nagtatanong po ako and nanghihingi ng ideas about sa treatment na yun.. so ayun po..
