Meron po ba dito na nagwowork sa government? Share naman po kayo ng experiences nyo good or bad man

Contractual/project base ba included? Project base here for 3 years na sa govt. Yun [textspeak!] sad experience ko Contractual for 3 years! hahaha as in walang benefits and stuffs. Though okay naman mga tao.  Another not so good exp, pag Job Order/Contractual Staff ka classified ka as self-employed so nakakaloka ang BIR things kasi ikaw talaga mag aayos unlike pag regular ka, office na ang bahala. Good thing naman with govt is mon to fri lang pasok. Kapag regular ka sobrang ganda ng mga benefits.

ang mahirap sa govt kapag napunta ka sa  madaming ginagawa i mean super stress talaga hehe.. wish ko sa govt mewron HMO lol

Ok naman. Atleast stable at may security of tenure. Mabagal nga lang ang promotion kase walang vacant items.

Here's my experience: (I've made a thread about it already but I'm posting it here too because I definitely need answers.)

I've been working sa isang State University as a contractual employee since for a few months na. Sa office namin, nung first day ko, I was terribly surprised to find out how unkempt it was and how dusty and stuffy it was in the office.

To add to that, everytime na nag o-open ako ng record books, may mga ipis at insekto na nag lalabasan. To make matters even more horrifying, my boss and some of his closest colleagues drink alcohol in the office almost everyday after work. I don't know why the higher ups are ignoring this but it's honestly getting worse; especially for me who can't stand the smell of stale booze and oily pulutan. The smell the next day sa office pag papasok ako eh, sobrang nauseating, I feel like some of them even pee sa trash bin kasi nearby offices had been asking me about the terrible smell in our office.

I'm currently suffering from severe Allergic Rhinitis (Stuffy Nose, Itchy Throat, and sometimes itchy eyes and ear pressure.) and the environment in the office is not helping me at all kaya I've been wearing surgical masks (the re-usable, cotton ones).

My physician has told me that I can't stay at dusty places or places with strong odors otherwise my allergies will get worse. (Been using Kamilosan, Lola Remedios, to ease it up but even at home, I still get stuffy nose and itchy throat)

I'm planning to ask the HR to transfer me to another office since my contract is about to be renewed anyway. My tita is the HR officer but I'm too embarrassed to ask for a transfer kasi baka maartehan sa akin.

Justifiable  na ba yung health concern ko to ask for a transfer or will I seem prissy? I'm planning to get a medical certification if needed siya for my transfer.

actually kung malakas ka pwede magcreate ng position para mapromote depende din yan sa boss yun iba opis every 3 yrs may promotion sa amin bokya considering dami ginagawa ha kaloka

So what's the best government agency to work for?

Compensation-wise, sa mga Govt owned or controlled corp (gocc's) or gov't financial institutions, usually they have bigger compensation and allowances. Next is judiciary, national government units and lgu's

Sa panahon ngayon, yung importance ng security of tenure is makikita mo talaga.
