How was it flying with Jeju Air?s Seoul to Manila route?

I tried Jeju Air 2x already. Ang liit talaga parang nakasakay ka lang sa bus. At ang mahal ng prepaid baggage nila 2,500 for 10kg. Pero may rewards point sila so baka Jeju Air ulit ako sa sunod! Sayang ang points!

^thanks! Jeju air okay naman siguro sa akin if I don?t fear heights and if it?s more than 4 hours ang flight I consider that as long.  20 kilos pa naman balak ko, so if I add up ang seat selection (yes maarte ako) and baggage, difference siguro with Asiana is about 150 USD.

Nag-book na lang ako ng JSA/DMZ tour with Koridoor. Reviews say that sila una na officially recognised ng US military to book JSA tours and walang tour sa Ginseng/Amethyst shop. I also considered the ones provided by Klook and VVIP, pricing not much difference with the three but the timing of the tour for Koridoor suits me.

Just want to ask, on submitting a copy of your credit card (front), did you blur the card number? Or had any problems on your card upon submitting details to the agency? I mean, is it safe?

How much amount do I have to have in my bank account? Suggested amount based sa mga experiences nyo po sa visa application? Kelangan po tlaga Bank Statement not Certificate? I dont have BDO/BPI credit card Citibank and CC ko

Every time I go to Korea, nag-allot ako ng $100 per day. So for example:

5 days sa Korea x $100 = $500

Dapat yung nakalagay sa bank account mo ay MORE than $500

That's what I always do. I've been to Korea 3x already. On my 4th visa application, I got multiple visa na. I don't have BDO or BPI cc din.

I think ang tinitignan din nila yung ADB (Average Daily Balance) kase doon makikita kung bigla ka lang naglagay ng pera sa bank account mo. Good luck!

Ah doon sa Visa Requirements sa Korean embassy ang nakalagay ay:
Bank Statement    (original or certified true copy of bank statements/passbook for the last 3 months)

So 3 months lang from the date you requested your bank statement.

Recommended bbq places for solo eating in Gangnam, Myeongdong, Insadong areas? I can order for the required minimum 2 but it is just too much.

May nakasubok na ba ng soy sauce crab where the resto allows solo diners?

^This is also my challenge in Korea, it's hard to eat bbq for solo travellers. Good thing I met a joiner in the tour group who's travelling solo as well and ended up eating dinner with her.

Just finished my SK solo trip but not much to contribute due to my main reason was to see a concert there and to splurge for food.

I stayed at Samseong on my first 3 days and Sinsa on my last two. Both quiet compared to Myeongdong. Samseong has Coex mall anyway and Sinsa has Garosugil, not boring but they are just too far from the main tourist districts, about 6 to 8 stations away with transfers.

First day, I was a part of the JSA/DMZ tour organised by Koridoor tours. Early start, hindi ako familiar sa Samseong and nalilito ako sa mga navigation apps so di ko makita ang station. So taxi ako maski masakit sa bulsa. First one rejected me after seeing the travel agency?s location in Yongsan, no solo passenger daw, so punta ako in a line of taxis at the front of a hotel. 16900 won was the metered taxi?s fare with peak hour traffic.

I highly recommend going on the JSA / DMZ tour. Some packages only go to DMZ which is good if you have kids. If you are well-disciplined, follows directions well and not addicted to selfies, JSA is for you. Very strictly enforced the no cameras on certain areas due to security reasons. One girl on our tour came in late for our meet up because she was too busy flirting with the soldiers and shopping so the tour guide and some of us told her off. She ended up crying.

I also went to the Secret Garden tour at Changdeokgung Palace. You have to book and pay 5000 won four days before the tour date, in addition to the 3000 won general admission fee. Not all days are available so better check the website. Also highly recommended but you might feel shortchanged because it is straightforward and only runs for almost an hour. Running and walking shoes only. I was running late too on my allotted time so metered taxi again, cost 13300 won, from Samseong to Anguk. I had to get ready for the concert that I only went to the tour but next time for the whole palace. Secret Garden is like a small village, what more for the whole palace.

Garosugil is nice too for shopping and if you are into street style Insta photo hopping. If you?ve got money to spare and like street style, go to Aland. One of the best stores I?ve been into. They also have a branch in Coex mall.

Re solo eating. I had to have the the raw soy-marinated crab (burong talangka). Prosoy was always mentioned and the main branch is in Sinsa. I remembered that there?s also a branch in Samseong so I searched for it and it?s only a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I went there 30 minutes before closing at night. Be careful though if you plan to go solo at night. It?s an area where drunk men go and I felt uncomfortable with the stares I got from them. Anyway, I ordered one small crab and rice. It came with 4 side dishes. I misunderstood the menu, I said ?1? which I thought was one set of two small crabs for 85000 won. I only got 1 small crab so I thought maybe the menu meant 1 part of the crab when cut in half. When I went to the counter to pay, they charged me 45000 won. This is one of the best meals I?ve eaten. I wanted to go back on my last day but I got worried about the uric acid I might not be able to walk.

Solo eating for Hanwoo beef - I went to Ttubbul at Garosugil. It is next to Zara. I went at 4PM so it?s only me and 2 other tables. My order came with 2 soups and 5 side dishes. One of the best meals too I?ve had. I only ate half a portion of the side dishes, they are just too much.

I thought that if I go at the not busy hours at restaurants located at tourist districts, they would accept a solo diner and I was right. Only regret was not having fried chicken. I didn?t want to order one set which contains 14 pieces.   

Sinsa has the airport bus station which is a 7 minute walk away from the hotel. I was so tired with my whole body aching and I didn?t want to walk on a humid day carrying a backpack, pushing a luggage with two heavy bags so i decided to book an International taxi from Uber, cost was 85000 won. I stayed at the new capsule hotel, Darakhyu, located at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 transportation centre.

1st visit - Winter (February 2018)
2nd visit - Spring (April 2019)

Babalik sana kami this Fall ng October 2019, pero mas pinaghahandaan namin yung winter trip namin to Hokkaido ng early 2020.

Korea has been one of our favorite out-of-the-country trips. So easy to travel because of the efficient transport system. Culture and modernization both present sa Seoul.

Anyone tried going to Busan ng Fall? Kamusta ang experience nyo so far?
