I don't want to scare [us] pero may measles outbreak according sa news. Ano kaya ang safety measures na pwede gawin to avoid this? Di pa naman maiwasan mapunta sa crowded place.

^true. panay research ko kagabi about measles. scary talaga specially for the preggo. im afraid kasi i got 2 kids na nagsschool and you know sa school, ang bilis ng hawaan. i learned na highly contagious sya kasi kahit umalis na sa room yung infected person, the virus can last up to 2 hours. i wonder if wearing mask can protect us since through inhalation nasspread sya.

^same tayo sis chiqmom. yung 2 kids ko ay schooling din. kanina sa programa ni Mike Enriquez sa radyo, na-interview si Sec. Duque, pwede ka daw mahawa ng measles sa direct contact mo sa may sakit or droplets ng laway kapag may ubo ang may measles. kasi ang complications ng measles ngayon ay broncho pneumonia. kaya pagsusuot nga ng facial mask ang advise nila kapag nasa lugar na maraming tao.

Eonnie, ikaw ba nagtanong re kicks o movement ng baby? tinuruan na ako ng OB ko. one hour raw after kumain (full meal ah), mag start na mag bilang ng kick o movement ni baby. in an hour raw, need nya maka-10 kicks or movements. kapag in 10 mins, nakagalaw na sya ng 10, okay na raw yun. pero kapag sa isang oras raw ay less than 10 ang kicks or movements, punta agad sa clinic or ER to check the fetal heart.

True, ang likot na pagtungtong ng 20-22 weeks ang mga babies. Itong butete namin, sa gabi gusto maglilikot. Minsan napapalakas yung sipa/suntok nya, napapa-ouch! nalang ako bigla. And yes, sa may vag area minsan! Haha. Sana naman sa likot nyang to, umikot na sya from breech at umangat na placenta namin.

Pwede ba tayo magpavaccine ulit ng anti-measles while preggo?

as far as i know hindi, kasi when i was preggy i had a blood test and they saw i'm no longer immune to rubella (which is part of the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine), the OB advised to only have it after delivery, which i took on my 6th-week-postpartum checkup.

as for the babies: first dose of MMR vaccine is stated to be given at 9months (in my baby's book, following immunization schedule of Malaysia). not sure ano ang directives ng mga doctors ngayon, kung pwede nilang iadminister nang maaga. yang part ang mas nakakaworry, if mahawaan ang babies before scheduled vaccination

sis @mgvaa: super late reply about the UV sterilizer, if you can afford it, why not. nakakatuyo din ata yan ng washed bottles, which is much better, and yea i heard you can also sterilize your phones in it, lalo pa yan ang pinaka bacteria-prone na bagay na lagi nating hawak, sabay diretso hahawak kay baby. we got through with a steam sterilizer and keri naman, need lang itaktak nang sobra yung mga bagay-bagay bago gamitin. til now gamit pa rin namin. and as for our phones, i always spray it with alcohol esp if galing sa labas.

re SwaddleMe: we only bought 1, and around 2 months na si baby nun, hindi na siya kasya so hindi rin namin nagamit, pinamigay ko na lang. hope it works for your babies, kasi i think it's a bit safer when baby grows. by 2 months nagpupumiglas na si baby sa muslin swaddle niya.

re cloth diapers: gow na lalo na kung may help kayo sa paglalaba! i heard mas matipid rin yan in the long run. i never considered those kasi it was only me and hubby during baby's first 2 months so hindi yan eepek sa aming sanity.

iammechelle good to know pwede ang mask to at least prevent it. super scared ako kasi yung friend ko, although chicken pox naman ito, nahawaan sya before delivery and sadly, stillbirth yung baby. yung second ko naman, nagka chicken pox ako at 2nd tri and thank God, ok naman siya. prayers na lang talaga.

^Thanks sa tips sis @iceheaven31. Yup, Rubella nga ata yung nabanggit ng OB ko na after delivery pabakuna.

I might buy 1 Swaddle Me muna, testing lang. Naisip ko nga din kasi na baka pag malaki na si baby or nakaadjust na sya sa outside world, hindi na nya bet magswaddle, so sayang naman.

^OMG. baka hindi ko kakayanin na stillbirth ang baby ko. prayers talaga mga sis. ngayon naman, masigla siya. hindi ko na nga pagagalitan pag malikot. sabi ko lang wag mag lalangoy ng husto at baka naman ma-cord coil.  naku, kahit pangatlo ko na ito, mahal na mahal ko na and looking forward na ako sa magulo at masayang pamilya pag labas niya.

sa experience ko, ang pag swaddle, 1-2 months lang. iwas gulat lang kay baby. saka mainit ngayon. baka ayaw ng naka-swaddle.

Sis iammechelle thanks sa info about cloth diapers, siguro mag mix use ako CD by day and DD by night. May helper naman kami tagalaba so susulitin ko na hahahaha.

Re: hand-me-downs, pamahiin pala yan? Buti nalang binigyan ako ng mother and sis in law ko ng mga pambahay and stroller hehe!

Sa pagshohopping naman naku tinigilan ko na yan hahaha ang dami ko na ata na hoard for baby's first year hahaha paglabas nalang nya saka ako mag shopping ulit for clothes. Yung mga gamit nalang like the UV sterilizer and bottles (gusto ko sana ang Comotomo) ang kulang ko. Thanks sis iceheaven sa reply about the UV sterilizer Ay! Gusto ko din pala nung Nuna Leaf Curv hahaha! Pang newborn up to big kids sya na upuan. Isa syang malaking gastos na naman! LOL 

Kahapon nag try na naman ako magpa-3d. Ang kulit kasi ng hubby ko sya ang pilit ng pilit ulitin kaya habang nasa area naman kami kahapon, nagpa sched ako sa In My Womb sa BGC. Pero major fail talaga hahahaha nakaharang kasi yung placenta ko (anterior position kasi), yung umbilical cord, at yung both hands ni Nala! Tapos when my hubby entered the room aba pati knees nya hinarang na nya completely sa face nya! OMG talaga super shy or suplada ata ng baby girl ko!

Medyo na-weirdan lang ako sa fetal biometry report. Kasi last Monday sa Ogusca ang weight ng baby is close to 2kg na so na-tag sya as kind of big for her age. Pang 33 weeks na daw eh 31 weeks palang ako, yung average ultrasonic delivery date ko napaaga naging March 26. Then yesterday, all good naman, not too big and not too small daw sabi ng doctor and back to April 5 yung EDD based sa ultrasound.  I guess depende sa pag measure ng sonologist no? Nakaka-stress lang hahaha. Nung Monday when I found out na malaki si baby super nag worry ako na baka ma-CS ako kasi.

Sharing lang my experience on the bottles: i initially bought 3 brands, Avent Naturals, Pigeon Wide Neck, and Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature. then along the way I had Dr Brown, and my sis in law got me Comotomo. in the end, we all stuck with Pigeon Wide Neck, kasi we noticed dito lang siya mas controlled ang feeding, and nagkaron kami ng mga choking/vomiting episodes sa Avent and Tommee Tippee. Comotomo is ok though, we still use ours sometimes, pag nagamit na lahat ng Pigeon bottles. Hopefully whatever you think your baby prefers e madali hanapin/bilhin.

Depende sis eh pag cooperative si baby baka 15-20mins ok na. Pero pag mejo suplada like my baby baka abutin din 30 mins lalo na if mabait yung doc and hindi madali mag give up! Hahaha!

Pag 3d sis pictures lang pero if you want video add ka ng 4d na scan. Tapos I think babalikan after a week yung colored pics and cd. Syempre hindi ko sure yang timeline if totoo hahahaha kasi unsuccessful yung all three attempts ko!

Sis iceheaven tama ka may nagsabi din sakin na wag muna mag "hoard" ng isang brand lang sa bottles kasi depende daw sa baby kung ano ang bet nya! Plan ko is bumili lang ng 2 na comotomo (syempre hindi ko bibigyan ng choice si baby at first LOL - boobs or comotomo lang choices nya hahaha) then saka na siguro ako magdagdag. I think available naman kay urban essentials and SM si comotomo. Pricey lang pero ganda reviews. Thanks sa tip about pigeon! Backup ko yan hahaha.
