Re: Chiong Sisters Case, pag binasa nyo yung buong case, though sobrang haba talaga, eh andun lang yung sagot sa mga questions na naisip nyo after watching the documentary.

1. Re: DNA issue, di na need nun kasi may positive identification from the family and yung fingerprints nya eh matched kay Marijoy. "Rusia testified that Josman instructed Rowen "to get rid" of Marijoy and that following such instruction, Rowen and Ariel pushed her into the deep ravine. Furthermore, Inspector Edgardo Lenizo, a fingerprint expert, testified that the fingerprints of the corpse matched those of Marijoy."

2: Re: Paco's alibi, yung mga witness na pinresent nya, contradicting yung claims. "With respect to Larra?aga's friends, the contradictions in their testimonies"

Example is yung professor nya na sabi eh umattend si paco ng lecture pero si paco mismo ang claim eh nagexam sya nung time na supposed eh umattend sya ng lecture. "Rowena Bautista, a teacher at the Center for Culinary Arts, Quezon City, testified that Larra?aga attended her lecture on Applied Mathematics on July 16, 1997 from 8:00 o'clock to 11:30 in the morning.This runs counter to Larra?aga's affidavit stating that on the said date, he took his mid-term examinations in the subject Fundamentals of Cookery from 8:00 o'clock in the morning to 3:30 o'clock in the afternoon."

 Yung sa logbook, may irregularity sa entries. "Larra?aga's 10:15 entry was written before the 10:05 entry which, in turn, was followed by a 10:25 entry. Not only that, the last entry at the prior page was 10:05. This renders the authenticity of the entries doubtful."

Yung hindi pinayagan yung pagpresent ng witnessess regarding dun sa wala sya sa list ng passengers, eto yung excerpt: "he did not produce any evidence to show the last time he went to Manila from Cebu prior to such crucial date. Xxx No less than four (4) witnesses for the prosecution identified him as one of the two men talking to Marijoy and Jacqueline on the night of July 16, 1997."

Hinila sya pabalik ng van then after nun, hinatid si Rusia near Ayala center. Di na nya alam yung nangyari after nun. "Upon Josman's order, Rowen and Ariel led Marijoy to the cliff and pushed her. After leaving Tan-awan, they taunted Jacqueline to run for her life. And when Rusia got off from the van near Ayala Center, the appellants jointly headed back to Cebu City."

His testimony was corroborated by disinterested persons kaya credible,  while yung alibi ni paco at witnessess nya eh puro friends and relatives.

I strongly suggest na basahin talaga yung mismong case decision. Ot lang, nakakapagod magcopy-paste lalo na kung cp lang gamit mo 😂

Done watching Jacqueline Comes Home. It should Thelma Going Home. Haha! I wanted to watch the movie para maging fair at para di ako one sided. Napanood ko na rin naman ang Give Up Tomorrow. Nagbasa na rin ako ng maraming articles and videos ng mga news about that case to look on different angles. Syempre kaya talagang pinush ko to panoorin to weigh things between this movie as well as the docu kasi you know naman this case or story ay trending talaga sobra ngayon at talagang nakakapukaw ng atensyon kasi nakakalungkot at nakakagalit yung injustice sa bansa back then until now naman.

Naging kwento ni Thelma yung movie halos. Naging kwento ng isang ina. I thought kasi they will show talaga yung case ng Chiong Sisters especially kay Jacqueline kung san ba napunta kaso hindi. Kay Thelma talaga umikot ang story, yung mga pinagdaanan niya as a mother na nawalan ng dalawang anak na babae. Konti lang yung narration about the case. It's more of Thelma as a mother and Chiong 7 as the bad ones. Nilinis at ginawa nila maganda image ni Rusia ron na parang anghel sa grupo. Binago nila names ng Chiong 7 don, may "Sonny" (Paco) at "Jeff" (Josman) at ginawa talaga nilang sobrang salbahe nung mga taong sangkot. Yung sa movie imbes na Chiong 7 lang nahatulan gaya nung footage sa Give Up Tomorrow na live dati eh sa movie lagpas, parang 10 or more than pa yung nakapilang nahatulan. Pinandigan nila na si Paco ay di nag aaral sa Manila kundi talagang stalker ni Marijoy the whole time. Yung body identified agad don ng father pero sa nangyari talaga na napanood kong footage eh di nga makilala yung body na natagpuan. Btw, sa movie sa Tanauan natagpuan yung katawan. Di ko sure kung dan ba talaga natagpuan pero yun sabi sa movie, May hearsay about kung nasan bangkay ni Jacqueline, sa dagat or ilog siya tinapon. At iba pa.

Siguro kung di to based sa true story eh mafifeel ko yung story kaso may background na ako and ayun, wala talaga, di ako naconvince nung movie. I thought it's really about the Chiong sisters case kaso naging kwento siya ng isang ina.

Watch niyo na lang then kayo magweigh.

Ah so this movie pala was about Mrs.Chiong. I was so curious kasi super tanggol yung mga lead actress ng movie saying wala daw sila pini-pinpoint dun sa Chiong 7 sa movie kasi naman pala iniba ang name. 😂

May napanood ako sa YT na interview kay Paco and surprisngly he looks good. He lost alot of weight. And sabi niya meron daw nagsabi sa kanila na yung two sister was in Canada and they are investigating about it. Sana talaga malaman na ang totoo about this case. Masyado mysterious.

Basta ako I stand by my belief na he poorly handled his defense kaya natalo siya. Hindi fault ng justice system bakit siya nakulong.

Kindly read the SC decision, mga sis. Wag kayo basta maniwala sa mga documentaries o films. Edited ang mga iyan.

Hindi rin valid reason na mahirap intindihin ang SC decision ha. That's not an excuse. The SC made a thorough discussion in a way na kahit mga di lawyers maiintindihan. Kung meron pa rin di magets, consult a lawyer.

 I am not pro Paco, isa lang ako sa tamad magbasa ng documents.

Anyway doon sa mga nagtatanong bakit hindi alam ni Rusia kung nasaan ang bangkay ni Jaqueline, ang dahilan kasi is nung iniwan niya yung group (drop off lang siya sa Ayala Cebu) kasama pa nila si Jaqueline at di na niya alam nangyari nung binaba siya (yun ang sabi niya)

Not pro-Paco din or anything pero honestly the shadiest part for me is Rusia not being able to say what
Happened to Jacqueline. And I can?t believe na basta lang male-let go na hinde na nya alam yung nangyari. Kung iniwan lang nila yon, somebody wouldve found her. Si Marijoy nga, apparently was pushed off a cliff, nahanap eh. I guess for me, yun lang yung  lingering question in all this.

I think what she meant was hindi alam ni Rusia ang nangyari kasi nauna siyang i-drop off while sakay pa yung victim sa van, so hindi na niya alam ang ginawa nila kay Jacqueline.

Nacurious ako sa Chiong sisters case Dahil sa kakabasa ko dito di ko n nga maalala ang case na to sa sobrang tagal so chineck ko sa youtube Nakita ko yun ke Tulfo then I watched the documentary. Grabe half way pa Lang ako sa pinapanood ko nabwebwesit na ako ibang klase talaga ang politika sa Pinas at ang kabobohan ng mga tao. PEOPLE WILL LIE BUT THE EVIDENCE NEVEr SA ATTENDANCE PALANG NA NASA SCHOOL pero ibang klase mag manipulate ang batas. sana magbayad lahat ng me kasalanan at mapalaya ang inosente. Ang karma ang uusig sa knosensya ng mga taong pinagsuffer ang inosente. Pero bukod sa karma dapat magbayad sila kasi sinira nila ang buhay ng isang tao na tipong "usual suspect" pati Si Erap dapat managot bwesit.

A friend said Viva rin ang nag ungkat/nagrepost nung documentary for the movie's hype. Para macurious mga tao. Effective naman obviously.

Got curious and googled this..  Saw this link from the SC with the reason why the motion for reconsideration for the defendants was denied.

"Knowing that the prosecutions theory highly rests on the truth of Rusia testimony, appellants endeavor to destroy it by claiming that the body found at the foot of a deep ravine in Tan-awan, Carcar was not that of Marijoy. We must reiterate the reasons why we cannot give our assent to such argument. First, Inspector Edgardo Lenizo,[18] a fingerprint expert, testified that the fingerprints of the corpse match those of Marijoy.[19] Second, the packaging tape and the handcuff found on the dead body were the same items placed on Marijoy and Jacqueline while they were being detained.[20] Third, the body had the same clothes worn by Marijoy on the day she was abducted.[21] And fourth, the members of the Chiong family personally identified the corpse to be that of Marijoy[22] which they eventually buried. They erected commemorative markers at the ravine, cemetery and every place which mattered to Marijoy. As a matter of fact, at this very moment, appellants still fail to bring to the attention of this Court any person laying a claim on the said body. Surely, if the body was not that of Marijoy, other families who had lost someone of similar age and gender as Marijoy would have surfaced and claimed the body. The above circumstances only bolster Rusias narration that Rowen and Ariel pushed Marijoy into the deep ravine, following Josmans instruction "to get rid" of her."

Malamang kaya siya nagsuicide dahil sa guilt DNA is the strongest evidence there is. I think totoo ang chismis na buhay pa yung Chiong sisters based dun sa FB pics

Re Chiong sisters mahirap pa din talaga maniwala sa mga ganyang docus since biased ang kwento ng mga yan. Di din natin alam bakit nagsuicide talaga ang judge. Malay natin if may pinagdadaanan siya talaga na di naman case-related. Sila-sila lang talaga ang nakakaalam ng totoo sa mahiwagang kaso na ito. For Paco nagtataka naman ako, may money naman sila sana naginvest sila sa pagkuha ng maayos at magaling na lawyer like what the Webb family did. Pero atleast, compared sa mga convicted innocent prisoners (if ever innocent siya) maswerte at mas masarap pa din buhay niya.

I've seen the Korean version and nagandahan ako, sana maganda din yung outcome ng Pinoy version.
