How soon can I do gender determination ultrasound?

My husband is having his birthday next week and I will be turning 18 weeks pregnant by then. We'd like to do a gender reveal on my husband's birthday celebration and I asked my OB Gyn if we could determine the gender already by 18 weeks. I am willing to pay for 3d or 4d ultrasound. She said it has be to 24 weeks.  Is it really not possible at 18 weeks? Been 'googling' and some had it as early as 15 weeks. Your thoughts?

I think, it will not be that accurate if earlier than 24 weeks. Some baby boys kasi maliit pa masyado [textspeak!] ari nila so  minsan na mimisinterpret as female siya.. but maybe you can ask naman to check the gender yun nga lang bibigyan ka nila ng discretion na baka magbago pa or better icheck uli around 24 weeks..

^^we had our gender scan at around 16-18 weeks (nakalimutan ko na exactly basta <20 weeks and the sonologist was 80% sure of my baby's gender. Consistent naman sya all throughout. So possible sya at 18 weeks basta maganda position ni baby

Hi! I have 2 kids, i both had Gender Determination Ultrasound at In My Womb SM Megamall. Both were pretty accurate, and i had it done by 16weeks.

^accurate na pala sis pag 16 weeks? I dont want to get my hopes up yet on the gender... Im on my 18th week now, had my last check up when I was on my 16th week. Pero si OB, sabi nya, wait kami ng 20th week para sure sa gender. So counting the days kami ni hubby until the 20th week

Sis we had our UTZ at 18 weeks, kita na gender ni baby. By 16 weeks, 80% palang then nung bumalik kami, sure na. so yes possible yan.

Thanks sis for the info. Natetempt tuloy ako pumunta sa In My Womb para magpacheck na. Haha. Actually nakita namin sa utz nung 16th month, pero sabi nga daw hindi pa daw final yon. Pero nakakainip at nakakatempt na. Haha!

With my eldest, we had UTZ when he was 18weeks and lumabas boy sya. The Sonologist was 90% sure na baby boy nga and he was right.

Nae-excite na rin ako sa 2nd baby namin, gusto ko na pa-UTZ kaso 15 weeks pa lang ako. Sabi nga ng OB ko ngayon, sa 24 weeks na namin i-check gender para sure

Pag daw kasi boy ang lumabas sa utz kahit early weeks pa lang, medyo sure na daw. Unlike pag girl, pwede daw din kasing scrotum yung tingin na clit. Nung 16th week, ob said seems like girl. So we're waiting til next check up to confirm. Pero we're hoping na girl nga.
