Circumcision Cost and Aftercare

Hi there, pashare naman po lalo na yung aftercare.

Cost:
We paid 5,300 plus medications na almost 1300.

Aftercare: We were advised to remove the bandage after three days then apply fucidin gauze, kaso nung nagwiwi ang son ko nabasa ko pinalitan ko na ang bandage. Nabasa ko online lagyan daw vaseline and some inispray-han nila ng betadine na hindi nabangit ng doctor sa amin. Just keep dry lang daw for three days tsaka i wash with warm water and apply yung fucidin gauze nga.

I paid p2800 sa son ko, sa feu hospital p1300 pero mahaba ang pila so we just chose a different hospital.

After care hydrogen peroxide, betadine and gauze. Brother ko ang gumagawa kasi mas alam niya since guy din siya. I never touched my son's thing not once until gumaling. He was also adviced to take pain killers the first few days.

naka skirt din siya the whole time para hindi restricted kasi mahirap na masagi sagi baka mamaga pa. yung tinatawag nila na mangamatis.

So far ok naman after 10days back to normal na siya nakakapag short na.

Tinuli rin anak ko last year. I didn't put gauze or anything. Just antibiotics and wait hanggang gumaling. Walang ligo, walang underwear.

Ako naman ang gumagawa sa son ko kasi nga pauwi palang si hubby, para sana pagdating niya magaling na at makapamasyal na kami.

Ano ba itsura ng na ngangamatis? Parang may paltos ba yun?

^hindi ko masyado alam yung itsura.  Pero description ng brother ko is swollen daw yung parang kamatis sa bilog at pula hence the term.

Regarding antibiotic parang walang ganun sa kanya. Betadine and gauze lang tsaka yung medical tape pero pag nililinis nilalagyan nila ng hydrogen peroxide mas madali daw kasi gumaling.

Maga yung nangmatis. Yung sa anak ko kasi nagkaganon tapos may nana. Dinala ko sa ER at baka kako ma-infect. Buti na lang sabi ng doctor he has seen worst. He just took some anti-biotics tapos gumaling naman.

^after ma-circumcised ng anak ko, he keeps on asking (blaming? ) us bakit daw di namin ginawa nung baby siya  , the reason is -- gusto kasi ng tatay nila maranasan naranasan niya 

^^ May nakita din akong nana sa wound pero nag a-antibiotic naman na siya so i guess, its really part of it.

^pag newborn yun ginawa wala daw anesthesia yun and may possibility na bumalik yung foreskin so uulitin rin pag malaki na siya. Kung magka anak ako ulit na boy ganun pa din gagawin ko wait for him to grow up bago ko pa circumcise.

^I hear of cases like that. Kasi hindi pa daw "tagpos". May stage pala daw na dapat ready na yung etits bago tuliin. Otherwise, aside from it's very painful for the child, bumabalik daw. Doctor mismo nagsabi sa akin.

Mga siz, need ba talaga magpa tuli? My son is 7 yo na ayoko pa.  Parang sa Pinas lang to uso. Hubby himself is not circumcised pero wala naman sya issue at malinis talaga sya. Mas malinis pa sya sa mga ex kong tuli. Lol. Im not really sure para saan ba ang circumcision...

^He doesn't have. Cultural and religious ang rason mostly ng tuli. There are times na medical reason like more prone to UTI.

I'm giving birth to a baby boy in December and I'm thinking of having him circumcised na din kaso si hubby, torn kase gusto nya ma experience ng anak namin. We're planning on migrating next year kase and mahal sya since it's considered a cosmetic surgery.

^Hindi naman sobrang mahal. You have lots of time to save for that.

@ twelvth_goddess hindi siya cosmetic surgery, general surgery siya. sa previous post ko i stated the price. but i guess because it is common practice here kaya siguro mura lang.

^It's considered cosmetic surgery in western countries. Dito mura lang talaga so I don't mind and hinde issue yon. In Canada, it's around $400-500 daw according to my sister in law who's a nurse there.

My ob doesnt recommend having it at birth kase daw madalas bumabalik lang din yung foreskin. So we've decided to delay it. Whether andito kame Pinas or elsewhere, si hubby na mag decide kung kelan nya ipapa circumcise si baby boy.

My eldest kasi he was asking kung kelan ba siya magpatuli kasi yun isang classmate nya, nun bakasyon nagpatuli na, 8yrs old yung classmate nya...

my son was circumcised day after he was born (in the US).  i didn't have to pay anything extra since it's with an HMO(Kaiser).  his little weenie and belly button healed at the same time in about a week.
it's for hygienic reason,  there's zero accumulation of smegma since the prepuce/foreskin covering the head is removed from circumcision.
and i remembered that this is a deal-breaker for me if the guy i'm going out with is not circumcised, just personal preference.

i remember brothers ko around 9 or 10yrs. old sila. son ko 12yrs. old na. before the child hits puberty i guess kasi they will start having hairs down there baka mahiya yung bata. son ko tinutubuan na siya ng hair that time and dumidikit yung hair dun sa tape for the gauze. kaya sabi niya mas masakit pa daw pag inaalis yung tape kesa dun sa mismong sugat. in my mind para siyang nagpapa brazillian wax. hehe.

Son ko 11yrs old nagpatuli. Yung isang pinsan ko 7yrs old naman kasi isinabay na siya sa mga kuya niya na 11 and 9yrs old that time.
