Plea for help: luxury beach/resort in the Philippines

Hello Sissies,

I was scheduled to get married in Boracay. However, we are now considering moving our wedding venue, and maybe date, to a different beach/resort, in case matuloy ang closure ng Boracay. We have a coordinator, yes. We have help. But I wanted to know what are the best luxury beach resorts in the country so we can consider those. Shangri-La Boracay was our original venue but we are open anywhere beautiful in the Philippines with a beautiful beachfront so I can show my American family the beauty of our country.

Thank you Sis. Believe it or not, double if not triple ang cost sa Amanpulo for a wedding because you have to bring in all your preferred suppliers out of town. Then super mahal ng rooms for guests. We invited guests na kasi and parang rude ang dating if we transfer to somewhere na walang choice sa accommodations. But thank you for this suggestion.

I think Palawan is your best bet for the same vibe. Cebu is still very urban, and i think outside of the resort it will look very much like Manila, which takes away from the whole relaxing experience.

Siargao maybe not quite as luxurious, but you might want to consider.

^my thoughts exactly. Dedon island does look nice. Any private island recommendations sans Balesin? Balesin just feels like there's not much to do out there -- private island in palawan still feels different --- a lot to do.

^Oohh i missed that one, Balesin nga pala sis is a very pretty backdrop for a wedding! If it was built before mine I might have considered it. I'm sure they have activities as well although may not be as extensive.

Sis inquire ka na sa various Palawan resorts--- once the closure announcement comes out im sure Boracay brides will pounce and move their weddings---- so good to have chosen which to book and push button nalang.

^thank you sis. Yes we inquired na and nice din mas-mura yung package ng El Nido than Shangri-La. Although far less yung food sa El Nido so mejo less festive, but more intimate, yung feel. Hintay lang ng approvals and not paying the new venues yet until next week. : )

Balesin is for exclusive members only, if i'm not mistaken. But if you know someone who is a member, pwede ata as a guest of the club member.

^thank you sis. Nag-decide na kame yesterday to change venues... palit din ng critical suppliers, and abandon completely yung ibang plans na hindi naman critical.. we are waiting on contract from El Nido para ma-compare namin sa Bohol contract..

Salamat na lang may availability pa sa date namin otherwise, another nightmare to deal with.

How about Pearl Farm in Samal? Nice thing about Pearl Farm is they have a small island (separate from Samal), so you can perhaps just book that. Also since Pearl Farm no longer accepts daytours and they only have limited villas, you have the option to rent out the whole place if you want.  Not as luxurious as Shang and a little bit cozier but still pretty and there?s a lot to do there.
