First Trimester and Eating Favourite Filipino Breakfasts
« on: February 18, 2018, 05:56:13 am »
Hello Moms and Mothers To Be,

I am in first trimester (week 10), I have  cravings for Filipino breakfast meal esp Longsilog. I decided to have one and I ate 6 pieces of Longanisa with scrambled eggs for breakfast. I just found  from online that Longsilog is not good to be eaten during pregnancy because it is part of "must avoid foods during pregnancy" stated by an OB in a Filipino health column. I do not eat longsilog often, but my cravings just caved in LOL.

My question is that  did any moms and mommy to be had longsilog BF as part of their breakfast  during this pregnancy?

Thank you

I don't remember having told not to eat Longanisa during my pregnancy. The only thing I refrain from eating are raw foods and unpasteurized cheese. First trimester, you should eat everything you want. Usually this is the time that the baby needs nourishment, plus with the hormones surging up, you are lucky you could still eat at your heart's content without throwing up. So take advantage eating. Just avoid raw food/uncooked meat or fish/barely cooked eggs and unpasteurized cheese.

Processed food during pregnancy is big no talaga, normal lang yan cravings during first trimester but should limit your intake. Instead eat a lot of fruits and veggies to get all the nutrients you need and for your baby.

During pregnancy, it is important to focus on a balanced and nutritious diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole subway surfers grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. These foods provide essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants that support the healthy development of the baby and the overall well-being of the mother.

Cravings for processed foods during pregnancy are common, especially in the early stages of pregnancy. Instead, load up on fruits and vegetables to provide a healthy diet for you and your unborn child.  geometry dash
