freezing your egg

hi mga sis. anyone has tried it or you know someone who did it? share your stories naman.

a friend of mine is doing this soon. she is 35yrs. old, nagpa appointment siya then na interview na siya dun sa clinic. according to her ang dami daw women doon mostly foreigners. price is around p180k then p10k per year.

she is scheduled for the egg extraction which the doctor said is painful. so far yun pa lang. the chances of conception is only 10% lang pala. the quality of the frozen egg diminishes over time so it is not 100% guaranteed na magkaka baby ka pag nagpa freeze ng egg. mas ok daw kung nagpa freeze ng egg with the sperm na.

any thoughts?

I think last year Saint Lukes Hospital in Taguig held a seminar I just didn't sign up then.

this crossed my mind.. kaya lang it's too pricey, with no guarantee that the eggs will be of use when the time comes..

My nabasa ako sa isang website, na kapag pala ipina-freeze ang egg habang tumatagal yung quality nya medyo nagdedecrease na.
So if magastos sya, then by the time na gusto na gamitin so parang di pa rin guaranteed na magiging successful ang pregnancy.
Pero if willing to try naman at may budget din, then go for it.
Just try to google about egg freezing to get more idea.

My friend is also considering freezing her eggs, ito topic namin a few days ago. She's 30, based in the US, single. In the US it's 10-25k USD daw so medyo expensive talaga. Ang advice daw sa kanya is to have her eggs frozen before she turns 35, mas mataas daw viability if 20s to early 30s but then again no guarantees talaga. Yung success rate ng live birth, depende rin ata how many eggs yung frineeze? Sabi nya ideal daw to freeze 15 mature eggs para at least 70-80% yung chances (not exactly sure about the numbers but somewhere around those figures)

According to my friend hanggang 38yrs. old daw ang age limit. when she went to the clinic sa makati super haba daw ng pila but mostly foreigners siya lang ang pinay. maybe sa atin hindi pa din ganon ka open when it comes to this. or baka we find it too costly.

mas ok daw kung yung egg freeze with the sperm na para daw sure. kaso dito sa atin kailangan ng marriage certificate to do that in other countries kahit hindi married pwede.
