friends na feeling entitled
« on: February 02, 2018, 09:47:33 am »
just want to share lang:
i have a close friend, lately parang nagkaka attitude problem siya.

example:
- i invited her to go out with the guy i'm seeing. she insisted that i pick her up at her place. saturday night super traffic she doesn't want to drive. we went back and forth sa messenger over it.

-the show we were going to watch starts at 8pm. i was early she was 1hour late. tapos nagpupumilit pa siya na lumapit sa stage.

-she wanted to eat sa buffet na P2700 per person care of the guy. to the point na sinama niya sa loob ng resto yung guy.

-during dinner at a different resto she doesn't talk much, she doesn't even join in the conversation kasi she can't understand the accent daw. parang sila pa ba dapat ang mag adjust?

-sa guy siya sumabay on the way home kasi same sila ng way. ako naman may dalang car.

-she said punta daw kame europe sabi ko sige mag iipon ako pang budget. huwag na daw andiyan naman yung guy. guy is from england.

medyo nainis ako sa kanya kasi she is not normally like that. although pag foreigner kasi feeling niya bubuhayin ka na dapat or parang prinsesa na ang turing sayo. Am I over acting or annoying talaga yung ganito? do you have friends na ganito rin mga feeling that the world owes them something. hehe!

Annoying yung friend mo, pagsabihan mo yan nakakahiya siya. I have a close friend na ganyan din halos ginawa sakin, i set her up with someone na medyo rich kid. Gusto pa talaga may chaperone. Daming arte. Hindi maintindihan kung gusto ba niya or what.

ang observation ko base sa kwento mo TS eh nag seselos yung friend mo. nag seselos in way na feeling nya may kahati na sya attention at time na pwede mo ibigay. hindi nya masabi directly kaya ganun yung paraan nya ng pagsasabi sayo. pabebe ika nga..

talk to her, ask her f she is jealous? kung oo ang sagot give her assurance na yung treatment mo sa kanya nun wala pa yung guy sa picture eh always the same kahit nanjan na yung guy.

suggestion ko lang naman.  ;)

She is jealous that you are happy. Misery loves company. Ingat ka baka agawan ka. It happens.

the guy i was seeing had a birthday last week. my friend asked me kung kelan daw mag celebrate or baka tapos na nag solo na kame. wth? ano ba paki niya kung umalis kame and dapat ba kasama siya parati? haha. so as to not make an issue out of it i told her hindi kame nagkita. truth is we went out but i'd like to keep it private and not tell her kasi she is acting weird about it.

today valentine's day my friend sent me a message thru messenger may gif ng girl na sinisira yung malaking heart and she then sent a message saying "para sa aming mga single". i replied na ako rin single ah.

Hi Sis, she is your friend so while I agree with the observations of what most posters here have said, you might want to do the right thing (being a better person) and help your friend through this. It sounds to me as though she is going through a change in her life and she's not coping well, so nag-iinarte sya. If you think your friend is NOT always like this, and she needs you right now, then maybe have a sincere discussion with her. It might end up being difficult since no one wants to confront or be confronted, but it might be worth it.

It sounds to me that she's feeling insecure. Inggit is a feeling of insecurity -- it does not mean she is NOT happy for you. She probably is, deep down, but she's starting to see herself in a place longing for what you have.

Let's acknowledge though that having her around right now might sabotage your looming new relationship. My suggestion is to talk to your friend and remark how this means a lot to you, that you want to take care of your new relationship, and that you want HER (your friend) to get along with your boyfriend. Tell her how happy this guy makes you feel and how HAPPIER you would be, if your friend is also happy for you and gets along with your guy. Basically, MAKE IT ABOUT YOU and not ABOUT friend (she will feel confronted and reject you outright if so).

After that, you might also want to slowly mention to friend how you want your relationship to play out -- like "I don't want BF to feel/think that he has to pay for MY meals all the time, or pick me up all the time as we both WANT an independent relationship." basically you are setting boundaries but in terms that are ABOUT YOU,not her.

Naisip ko lang kasi sis, nag-iinarte friend mo kasi she has personal issues. Up to you if you want to help her sa issues nya or not. At the same time, if you BURN bridges with her, and hindi mag-work out ang relationship mo, she'd have more to say about you, and you'd lose a friend.

Good luck sis : ) You know your friend in good and bad, you also know the situation better. You will make the right move, be kind to yourself.
