Hi All,  i'm planning to resign on the 31st of January - since February only has 28 days. i am assuming that my last day will be on the 28th right? for One Month notice?

Our HR is very cunning and i'm expecting that she will insist on my working until March 2 - to count one month notice.

With this - is this correct should i agree?
and how do they pay me? One month salary ( full for February) and then 2 days for march?

Please HELP. TIA!   :-\

Mods - Please move this to an appropriate Board, if its not meant to be here.  :)

I think the labor code states 30-day notice. Kaya siguro HR tells you that you should work until March.

Can you not use any of your vacation leave on the two days of March?

I think your company pays you per day, so you always get less for February (based on my experience with the several companies I have worked for and the payslips I got). You can ask the accountant at your company how this is exactly computed - on some payslips the number of work days are indicated.

Thanks sa reply sis freelancer_babe.

I'm actually based in Singapore and called up the Ministry of Manpower.
based on the rules here - February is considered one month, tapos sa contract ko nakalagay is one month's notice hindi 30 days.

so ayun Feb 28 ang last day ko! Yey! hehe :)  buti nalang sa contract ko month ang nakalagay at hindi days. that made the big difference ( i think )  :) :)
