Small, Intimate Weddings

Hello! After 10  years (and 1 child) we are finally getting married! My bf's annulment (civil and church) has been finalized. We have all the necessary permits, certifications etc. We will be civilly wed this January (our license will expire na! haha) and hold our church wedding this June or July when most of my close relatives who are in the US will go home for a vacation.

From the start, we wanted a small, initimate wedding. Max of 60 guests. Close family and friends only.  Now here are my questions:

1.) Sa church entourage, I only want 2 matrons of honor (my sisters) and no bridesmaids na. Paano yung mga secondary sponsors? Mandatory yun?

2.)  For the flower girl, daughter ko lang and dun sa mga bearers mandatory ang 3 diba?

3.) We just want a max of 4 pairs of ninongs/ninangs. That is okay?

4.) We inquired with Discovery Suites Tagaytay and we can book their whole hotel with 7 rooms and have a dinner/lunch reception for 50/pax for as low as 200K. Who had their wedding there? Maganda ba? Sulit na ba yung 200k?

5.) Option number 2 is to hold our reception at Acacia Hotel Alabang (Deal Grocer promo 76k for 60 pax with 2 rooms). Any reviews for this hotel?

6.) Been looking for a small chapel lang sana. But I have heard hindi naghohold ng wedding unless sa "parish" siya? Any comments on this? We want a small, church and short aisle.

Hi Sis! Hope this will help.

1.) Sa church entourage, I only want 2 matrons of honor (my sisters) and no bridesmaids na. Paano yung mga secondary sponsors? Mandatory yun?

- Ok lang if no bridesmaids. No problem with that. Pero I think mandatory to assign someone for the candle, veil and cord which is the duty of the secondary sponsors. They have participation during the ceremony unlike the bridesmaids.

2.)  For the flower girl, daughter ko lang and dun sa mga bearers mandatory ang 3 diba?

- Yes 3 din ang bearers.

3.) We just want a max of 4 pairs of ninongs/ninangs. That is okay?

- Yes ok lang if 4 pairs. some churches nga only require max of 5 pairs. It's your call.

4.) We inquired with Discovery Suites Tagaytay and we can book their whole hotel with 7 rooms and have a dinner/lunch reception for 50/pax for as low as 200K. Who had their wedding there? Maganda ba? Sulit na ba yung 200k?

- Np comment on this.

5.) Option number 2 is to hold our reception at Acacia Hotel Alabang (Deal Grocer promo 76k for 60 pax with 2 rooms). Any reviews for this hotel?

- Ok naman sa Acacia. Medyo restricted lang ang shoot if you are not holding your reception there. Unless you secure a permit for the photoshoot.

6.) Been looking for a small chapel lang sana. But I have heard hindi naghohold ng wedding unless sa "parish" siya? Any comments on this? We want a small, church and short aisle.

- You can have weddings sa mga chapels. You only have to coordinate it sa Diocese na may jurisdiction ng chapel where you want to be married. Samples are the Paco Park, Notre Dame in Palazzo Verde, Chapel sa Fernwood. These are not parishes but they do hold weddings.

Thanks for the info re chapels sis! Na amaze ako ang mamahal pala ng rental sa church! Now we are deciding ana mag Calaruege nalang kasi nga chapel siya and inimate ang dating. Hindi naman peak ang weddig month namin tapos weekday pa

- needed ang secondary sponsors.

- yes, pwede naman daughter mo lang ang flower girl. pero mas magand kung may kasama siya pero kung wala naman, keri lang din. yes, 3 bearers are mandatory. 1 - ring, 2- bible, 3 - coins

-ask your church about it.

- i think that's mahal. marami namang hotels sa Tagaytay. and marami na rin wedding suppliers dun.

- Caleruega is a perfect place! I suggest magtanong na kayo ng avail sched. June is a peak season, too. In demand ang Caleruega for OOT weddings. kaya baka madami ng bookings as early as last year.
