Other than legal contract, is marriage relevant to you? Why and why not?

^It's your choice and yours only. No one should force you to.

Ay inedit...lol!

Anyways, marriage is still relevant. First and foremost, it's because of my belief. I am actually finalizing my divorce now. But I still will get married when the right man comes.

Very relevant for me, yes. When you're with the right person, it genuinely feels like you're never alone lalo na sa mga difficult times. Partnership talaga sya.

Of course it's still relevant, kahit puno na ng kabitteran ang mundo. Siguro personal preference na rin. But I will never get married just for the sake na dahil siya ang ama ng anak ko ,kahit na sinasaktan ako o dahil malungkot lang ako at I need someone to warm me since pwede naman BF na lang di ba? Oh well, just my opinion.

I know a person who's hesitant to get married. Because he feels it's a trap. He said, "I don't want anyone telling me who my friends should be....yadda-yadda-yadda!" So, you won't get married? He said he probably will but there will be a strict protocol. I won't settle.  I kind gave him a reality check. I said, "I don't think of marriage that way. For me, it's a rest for my soul. Not having to jump from one relationship to another. But of course, I won't settle either. But I believe he is out there. And I believe we will meet one day."

I continued with, "But isn't it ironic that you are avoiding being controlled yet your ex, let's face it, got you on your d**k? And you can't do anything about it? You must be pissed off? LOL! Of course, no one should settle because that's kind of dumb. But you have to ask yourself this too, "If, let's say, I meet the perfect girl? Am I worthy enough for her? If you won't settle, the good ones won't either."

Silence...lol! Minsan kasi taas ng tingin sa sarili.

Anyways, for me, marriage is relevant and will continue to be til the Second Coming.

malaking OO, -ayokong matawag na 'kabit' lang
-ayokong matawag na 'bastards' ang mga anak ko
-ayokong nagkakasala when we are intimate
-may ka-share sa bills
-may ka-share sa retirement benefits
-mas may tax benefits if married filing jointly

hindi kasi ako kontento na tawagin yung kasambuhay ko na,  partner ko, gf ko, live in, etc. mas gusto ko ang tawag ko sa kanya, wife/asawa ko..  ;D

Completely relevant for me. I feel like people who say "It's a trap!" know in their heart of hearts that they're not with the right person. When it's with a real partner, when you know you're with the love of your life, you want to make it official. You want your lives to be legally recognized and respected. But that's just me. I know other people who are perfectly happy with domestic partnerships. I also know people who marry for the sake of not being alone.

^ako sis high pitch din ako kahit di ako galit pag galit ako tahimik ako. Nakakapag tone down naman ako minsan pero pag excited ako or masaya nawawala kontrol ko.Ano naman problema sa high pitch kung ganun na talaga unless lang nagger or nag iiskandalo ka. May maidahilan lang siguro nagsabi sayo nyan.
