Aside from the fact that it's very near to our country, there's a lot of things to do in HK. No wonder so many Filipinos visit it for a quick out of the country trip.

only brought 4k pesos as pocket money since we already paid for place and still took home some cash. aside from the money exchange rate 1php = est 1.5twd, food was cheap. street food taste GREAT and decent enough to be your meal! i think i only spent 2k for my meal/shopping/train for 4days.


hotstar in taiwan costs less than 100twd (est 150php) and in hk it costs 30hkd (est 195php). i just came back from my hk trip and definitely, taiwan is the cheapest country i've been.

Ho Chi Minh Vietnam

got the 2500 peso ticket from the Cebu Pac pisosale
booked a 500 peso a night room with free breakfast( 3 nights so a total of P1500)
spent P5000 for food and pasalubong
was able to tour the city for free thanks to Saigon Free Walking Tours

Bali Indonesia in 2016. We spent 4 days for P10,000 including pasalubong and accommodation. Highlights of the trip:

-Beach Trip
-Hike Mt. Batur
-White Water Rafting
-Temple Hopping

How?
-Fortunately, we hired a friendly driver I found here in GTalk. He really helped us during the trip. He brought us to local restos with cheap yet good indonesian food. He haggle for us when needed.
-We only spent P1000 for pasalubong and we bought a LOT
-We stayed at a Business Hotel at P350 per night including buffet breakfast

did you plan for the trip sis (i.e. seat sale)?

Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia when we hiked the Mt. kinabalu.. I spent more or less 16k for 4days including RT airfare, accomodation, food, souvenirs, registration, etc. We were able to roam around and buy malaysian gold jewelries pa, sobrang tight nga lang ng sked. Nakipagtawaran pa kasi haha!

Yes seat sale. Kelangan mo lang talaga research. I guess 20k with hotel, food and pasalubong excluding the ticket pwede na. If di ka maselan sa food 50baht is one meal na or less.
