What's your passion?

I find this question very difficult to answer. Bakit ganun, parang wala akong passion?

How did you find yours? At talaga bang kelangan pa sya hanapin? Meron ba talagang taong walang passion?

^Passion does not necessarily entails a job/work/profession/school of thought/activity for me Sis.

Noon worried din ako akala ko wala ako passion. Wala din ako exactly ma pin point na passion per se before, what I notice lang sa sarili ko is ang passion ko is taking care of my love ones, making sure na they are well provided for, safe, healthy, happy and secured sila, so lahat ng thoughts, actions, activities ko mostly nagrerevolve around it. Dun ako extremely fond of, and passionate about if I may. Dun ako sumasaya and I feel extremely proud, content whenever I think nagagawa ko mga dapat ko gawin to take care of my love ones.

Hi TS matagal na akong di nag ko comment sa mga threads pero  natuwa ako mabasa post mo.
Tulad mo may time din na nagtataka ako bakit parang wala akong passion.
Normal ba yun?
Ultimo husband ko nag ask ano raw passion ko.
At ang sagot ko eh yung same sa comment ni sis Rory. Di ko nga alam non kung ma consider na passion para sa iba yun. I am so glad na may katulad ako ng "passion" hihi. Plus charity works din pala lalo na making  kids na may terminal illness happy.

Helping the community is something I would like to do but I am an introverted person. I tried helping through financial donations but I feel like I can do better. Wala din akong particular na passion in life. I just want to be a good mom to my son and be a law-abiding citizen of this world.

Feeling ko naman you don't need to be someone that clearly has a passion in life to feel you are contributing something to society. Even small things can do a lot.

If you're happy and content in your island, that's good. Just be your best. If you feel the ocean is calling you, then go for it and conquer the waves.

I think passion can be expressed through a hobby, ministry, or a profession. Passion mo gumawa ng handmade tsinelas, mag-bake, mag-organize ng bahay, magtahi as a hobby? Go! Some passions naman push people to build something (business, organizations, blogs, etc). Some naman swerte, they earn from their passions (e.g., teaching, accounting for number lovers).

How does one know? Sometimes yung iba bata palang alam na nila (e.g., maging mommy). Yung iba sumakto sa work nila, nagustuhan nila. From what I read about passion, it would resonate with who you are, your qualities, sometimes with your personal history. Obviously, the above sisters are nurturing type, and taking care of the family resonate to their inner qualities.

Ako may passions are family, couple counseling (pursued a masters because of this), lectoring and commentating sa mass. They all found me. Yung isa I hinanap ko, pero mas nauna pala syang nahanap ako. Nakita ko lang.

Like Rory_Lorelie_Gilmore and pinklilac, ganyan din ako sa family. Hindi ko alam pero parang ako na yung taga nurture ng lahat. But I don't consider it as my passion kasi feeling ko responsibilidad ko sya bilang ako yung able. Alam ko it's not my responsibility pero ayoko yung may kawawa. Parang nakokonsensya ako.

I also want to be the best parent to my kids. Pero again, I don't know if it's a passion. It's still more of a responsibility. Not that I don't want to do it but I think it's more of I have to do it.

TS passion is something na kung saan ka magaling na gusto gusto mo talaga gawin. at pag ginawa mo ito yung tipo na makakapag pasaya sayo at may mabuting epekto sa ibang tao.

Buti ka pa maaga pa lang alam mo na. Feeling ko isa ito sa naging passions ko kung namulat ako sa talent ko. Sana it's not too late for me.

Ang isa ko pa naiisip na posibleng passion ko is learning a language. Although sabog sabog kasi ako eh. Hindi pa ako talaga naka reach ng level na may na master akong language besides English (feeling master lang sorry). I've always loved French so ngayon nagaaral ako ulit pero sa app lang. Nag aral din ako ng Korean. Baka ituloy ko din after na lang ng French.

well, for me kasi yun ang basis ko para masabi kong successful ako sa passion na napili ko. parang hindi ako satisfied kung hindi man lang  ako makaka moved ng tao.

di ko alam kung ano yung passion ko talaga. maliban sa gusto ko naman talaga yung trabaho ko bilang IT, meron akong favorite hobbies tulad nang pagtugtog, pagkanta, at pagsulat (na bihira ko namang nagagawa). pero kung ang definition ng passion is something you'd do even without rewards, hindi ko alam kung pasok pa dito yang mga favorite hobbies ko, kasi right now i'm at this stage na gusto ko naman pagkakitaan yang mga bagay na gusto kong gawin (dala ng pangangailangan    ), kasi syempre gumagastos ka ng resources (e.g.  in singing, drive off to rehearsals, so gagastos ka ng gasolina), so it is really nice if makabawi ka man lang konti sa mga nagastos mo.

Go lang sis. Meron akong kakilala, passion nya anything Japanese. Hanggang sa napadpad sya sa pagtuturo ng Japanese language. Not sure lang kung full-time or part-time.

I get what you mean. Parang it's like a validation or an affirmation that you're on the right path. For example sa baking, if after how many trials of baking, eh wala talagang maka-appreciate... eh baka there are others for you.   

Pero for starters who don't know their passions yet, I suggest to just follow your inner drive and don't think of the purpose or outcome. Minsan, when you follow your inner drive, biglang malalaman mo, may purpose pala. But for starters, don't mind it too much. Kung wala namang audience, at least the activity itself brings you joy and allows you to express your inclinations.

I think it's just one of the signs of passion. And it's true that many can't do their passion due to  responsibilities that they need to attend first. And syempre nangunguna dyan, you need to earn for a living. But I still think that your passion about what you mentioned are just inside, and it's your choice if you're gonna dig it and express it, even if just a hobby.

Sa akin sobrang importante ng passion that it significantly influences many of our parental and financial decisions/goals. Sa ngayon  I allow my child to have a lot of free time so I can see what type of activities she naturally revolves around. She's into arts and is using adobe photoshop at 6 yo. She enjoys at may physical agility for gymnastics. We'll see. Then we are building passive incomes na ipapamana sa mga anak when we're gone so they have a choice if they want to go full-time sa passions nila na hindi malaki ang kita or build their own business. I hope that this is what will happen.

Feeling ko kasi ako yung "sakto sakto" na tao. Tipong wala akong masabeng sobrang hilig o sobrang galing sa specific na bagay. Kaya kong gawin pero hindi ako nagniningning sa larangan na yun.

passion ko siguro cooking.... pero limited lang into mga normal na lutong bahay na walang mga twist twist... nothing extra ordinary but im happy pag ginagawa ko yun.
