Hi guys! Can you suggest a good destination to celebrate your birthday on a budget? Any tips on how to get good rates?

So far I'm considering these destinations:

LOCAL:

Port Barton & Puerto Princesa, Boracay
Surigao
Dapitan
Laiya, Batangas (considering this as the last option if others aren't feasible)

INTERNATIONAL:

HK
Bali, Indonesia

*These may be costlier though but still considering.

It's hard to decide lately especially given the situation in other parts of the Philippines but praying things will return to normal soon enough so it's safe to travel there again. I checked flights and accommodations to some of these itineraries but it seems costly still. If you can advice on flights, hotels and tours, thanks in advance!

It's depend on your budget. Minsan nga mas mura pa pag out of the country at napapamahal ka pag local kasi nakadepende sa activities na gagawin nyo. Tapos consider nyo pa yung transpo and accomodation. Ako ang ginagawa ko sinusulat ko muna kung anong activity gagawin kasi minsan ang dami nakakoverwhelmed then tsaka ko sya pipilian ng lugar yung hindi pa napupuntahan.

Currently, I'm eyeing a budget of Php20,000 for local and Php30,000 for abroad. Pero I'm not sure if these are too low for 2 persons. I'm aiming for 3 days but maximum is 5 days trip. If solo trip sana mas feasible kaso this time I'm bringing my mom since the last vacation I did was by myself.

I canvassed for abroad for Bali. It looks more expensive compared sa other destinations. I really want this one but if I'm paying for two I'm not sure if I can afford to save for 3 months. HK naman cheap flight pero accommodation mataas or baka I'm not searching at the right places? Also my mom has been here so she isn't so interested to go back. Bali she prefers though.

Before we already decided either Palawan or Dapitan but the ongoing situation in those areas and nearby provinces are the problem. Cheaper siya compared abroad but safety wise we're not sure if it's a good idea to go this September.

True activities really make everything expensive. You can't simply just book the hotel and flights unless you want a staycation. My mom is quite an active traveller so she might get bored with staying all day sa hotel, swimming and eating, especially it's almost a week of vacation.

I hope there are other advices out there!
