planning to go to hong kong march 7-11, gusto ko sana sa mongkok area magstay.  may mareco ba kayo na airbnb dun?

also, meron ba dito may alam kaya ng catholic churches sa mongkok area?  or may mareco kaya kayo na airbnb dun na walking distance from the church?

Going to Hongkong in April... And first time travel outside the country namin - literally for each one of us in the family - me, daughter, and hubby. Hehe. First-timer jitters!

Ok po kaya ang weather on that month? I've heard may mga for-renovation areas sa HK Disneyland  this year Don't want to be sad about it...marami naman siguro iba pang attractions to enjoy there ano? We'll be there on Friday, and we're thinking to go with one day in HK Disneyland na lang para we can visit other places.

Also, what are the 'must-visits'  in HK? Yung 'don't miss it' talaga for a first-timer?

We went to HK Jan11-14 and we really enjoyed it. We stayed at Quick Residences at Mirador Mansion and I am recommending them kung on budget kayo. The place is very clean (daily housekeeping), free breakfast, free water (hot and cold where you can refill you bottles kasi mahal tubig sa HK), and very helpful and accommodating owner (Mr Ilyas and Ms Meena who I believe is the manager).
Sobrang lamig that time! But we still enjoyed it. All atractions were bought using Klook.

Day 1: The peak (4PM)
Day 2: Disneyland (kid-friendly rids talaga)
Day 3: Oceanpark (most rides cater kids age 8 and above due to height limit tho may 1 area naman na pang bata talaga)
Day 4: Wala pero dapat may NP360 kami. I still have the voucher baka may interested? I can sell it discounted nalang it's open-dated by the way.

Overall, masaya talaga and I hope we can visit again someday.

^Wow may free breakfast na si Ilyas, kaaliw naman. Curious ako sis anong breakfast nila?  Dati pa-kape lang si Mayor ngayon pa-breakfast na.

Ask ko lang po if yung weather, kaya naba ng knitted long sleeves then maglalagay ng 2 inner long sleeves sa loob? Though meron naman ako makakapl na jackets na dala just in case.

As per this website, http://www.hko.gov.hk/contente.htm, maulan next weekend. We will be there on Jan 27-30.

^ we were in Hong Kong January 8-11, maulan first two days namin dun and sobrang lamig! Bumili kami sa Giordano na version nila ng heat tech. Suot ko, giordano warmer, long sleeves and jacket sa pang baba naman, giordano warmer and jeans. After nung first two days na maulan, maaraw na, malamig pa rin pero not as cold, mga nasa 15 ata temp nun. Siguro okay na two layer? depende rin kasi kung lamigin ka or hindi.

KVsWahmmy, nag two day pass kami sa Hong Kong, buti na lang kasi inulan kami first day dun. Wala yung ride na It's a Small World, sayang kasi yun talaga must ride for kids, yun yung ride na iba ibang countries pinapakita na dolls tapos background music It's a small world. Wala na ring fireworks sa gabi, ang ganda pa man din nun. Inexpect ko unti na lang tao pupuntan sa Disneyland pero madami dami pa rin, weekday kami pumunta both days.

@swtgrl_bee: Actually hindi namin alam may free breakfast kaya nung 2nd day namin lumabas pa kami. Pagbalik namin ng mom ko, ayun may pakanin at ulam si mayor haha! Masarap naman siya, hindi ko lang alam kung ano luto. Meron parang beef broccoli, tapos beef na may kamatis, may fish.

 @cinammon_swirl aw ok buti kami hindi naman maulan nung nagpunta kami pero malamig talaga. May shirt na suot then 2 magkapatong na sweater plus gloves pa haha! Palit palit nalang ng sweater na magkapatong para naman di halata kapag may pics

mga sis question lang...ang senior citizens ba may discount sa ocean park tickets?  sa disney kasi may iba silang rate e.  pero sa ocean park pag online walang separate rate for seniors ako makita.

There's St Ignatius Chapel a few meters away from Yau Ma Tei station, which is in Mong Kok area.  Mas popular sa mga pinoy yung St John.  In between Central and Admiralty station.  Malapit ito sa The Peak.

^^Sis mukhang walang senior citizens discount ang OP kasi maski sa website ng Golden Crown DL lang ang may SC discount.

Pa-help naman please with the following:

1. March 11-15 kasi travel date namin. I wonder kung malamig pa and kung need ko pa ibili ng atleast bubble vest, beanie and longsleeves shirts ang son ko.

2. Ok pa din ba ang palitan ng peso hkd sa Czarina?s meron palang branch na malapit sa amin sa QC. Pwede din naman ako magpalit sa Bdo pero alin kaya ang mas ok ang rate?

3. True ba na di ok magpunta ng The Peak kasi ginagawa? Excited pa naman anak ko sumakay sa tram.

^Thanks sis. Enough na kaya sa amin ng son ko 4k hkd for pocket money for 5 days? We will arrive Mar 11 at 9pm then balik ng Manila at around 12nn of Mar 15. The pocket money is solely for food and octopus card load. Hotel and activities ibobook ko na bago pa ang flight namin.

^ 26k is more than enough sis for food and octopus card. Pwede na nga dyan isama yung pambili ng mga pasalubong

Naka around 12k lang kami ng bf ko sa gastos pagdating sa pagkain nung nasa HK for 3 days.

^Thanks sis. Nagbabackread na nga ako uli at naglilista ng mga recommended restos and food chains na hindi nakakabutas ng bulsa. Mahirap ng kapusin habang nasa byahe.

^^hi sis. try nyo sa yuen kee, sooobrang sarap ng noodles! affordable saka malaki yung serving. when we went there, kasama ko yung brother kong malakas kumain haha. pero nabusog sya noodles palang. sa golden crown kami nag stay non, malapit lang sya dun. pero alam ko may iba pa syang branches, google mo nalang sis.

Kasya na po yan for food and Octopus card to get around.

Kung mga fast food kakain, budget between 250HKD to 350HKD, for a family of 4.  Yung mga eat-all-you-can na dinner ay usually 180HKD+ per head, pero free naman ang mga bata.

MTR rides ay usually 4HKD ang start kung in-between station lang.  Better get an Octopus instead of a single journey, kasi may discount automatic kapag you use it on pair rides.  MTR papunta at MTR pabalik or papunta sa another place.

Mas mura yung mga green/red mini-bus. 2HKD lang usually, pero di marunong mag-English ang drivers and magsasabi ka ng stop kung next bus station ka na bababa.  Hindi kasi nila tinitigilan lahat ng station, especially kapag puno na.

Nasakay lang kami ng mini-bus kapag ang pupuntahan namin ay dun na sa end station nya.

Hi mga sis! Last day of our HK trip today. Please advise naman po if okay lang bumili ng camera sa TST canon store? Legit ba? Super baba po ng price, natetempt. po ako bumili. Hope may magdeedback agad bago kami alis. Hehe. Thanks mga sis! 😊
