2017 Financial Goals

Hi sisses. I noticed we still don't have our usual annual financial goals. I for one found that really helpful. How are you doing with your goals last year and kamusta naman mga goals natin this year? I'll start with my 2017 financial goals:

1. Save at least 40% down payment for our condo unit - check!

2. Replenish at least half of the investments and savings we used for the said down payment

3. Add to emergency fund

4. Add to our baby's trust fund

5. Increase stock portfolio

6. Live off 30% of income by year end

wala naman kami super bongga na financial goals for this year kasi we are aware na super impossible pa ma-magic ang finances namin due to bills and all that. ang major change lang talaga this year is magsisimula na kami with VULs and kahit papaano masaya na kami doon muna. Hopefully next year mabawasan na yung mga bills na kaliwa't kanan at yung car and personal loan na lang sana namin ang matira para makapagsimula na kami mag-save.

I've hit rock bottom last year because of certain life decisions. So this year I just want to complete my emergency fund, start anew.

Emergency fund- Okay sya ngayon and as of now we didn't need to use it.
52-Week Challenge- Yes, nangangalahati na ako tama na dapat mas malaki ang hulog sa umpisa.
VUL- we recently got this one
Mutual Fund- 4 years and stronger

1st big project for this year- purchase a brand new suv for hubby to replace his decade old car..ok na to, to be released this week na

After this-  save enough amount then we will try to negotiate sa owner ng lot adjacent to ours, hopefully pumayag na ibenta, if not, pasok na lang sa joint acct as additional savings

- start to save for our travel fund next year, we are targetting around 300-400k for this

Emergency fund- intact naman so no problem

• Consistently pay for both of my parents' healthcare every month
• Diligently tithe 10% every month
• Save 70% every month

Hubby and I are OFW and we're always praying na sana maging okay ang taon na ito para mabawi namin yung nagastos namin sa kasal by the end of this year.

We just got married last December, budget wedding lang and 70% ng na save namin from 2015-2016 napunta as wedding funds.

Jan-Jun 2017 Accomplishments:
√ Fully Paid my pending SSS Salary Loan from 2014. Finally! 
√ Fully Paid Hub & I's 2017 Philhealth contribution
√ 6 Months Paid Hub & I's 2017 SSS contribution which is max amount for OFWs
√ Finished our 9-month Paluwagan. Kami yung 1st & last na sahod so we'll have 2700 AED as our last take this month.

On going since January-June 2017:
√ Monthly Tithe
√ 20% Monthly Peso Savings in our Joint Account
√ 52 Weeks Challenge (8 AED increment daily - Baby Fund) kaso baka mag stop na kami this month kasi medyo mahihirapan na kami since increment wise ang ginawa namin.

Goals for half of 2017:
√ 6 Month Funds from our 52-Weeks Challenge will be invested in Stock Market or Mutual Fund.
Then mag fund nalang kami monthly kung san namin maipasok.
√ 1000 AED from our paluwagan will be added to our emergency fund.
√ Increase our emergency fund at least 6000 AED this year. (SANA KAYANIN!)
√ Add a little more investment in our Farmon Account this coming half year if maka 2 cycle pa sila.
√ Fully Pay our SSS contribution (July-Dec)
√ Continue Monthly Tithe
√ Continue 20% Peso Savings
√ Get Life / Health Term Insurance for Hub & I

1.  Debt free by the end of the year
2.  On time payment of PAG_IBIG Housing Loan
3.  On time payment of VUL
4. On time payment of Lot investment
5. Save for opening a COL investment

OMG I'm here in Qatar as well, hello dear!

For me since hindi na nga stable dito sa middle east, I'm going for my Plan B. Too bad I don't think I can proceed with Plan A dahil sa crisis ngayon sa middle east. Anyway, here is my Financial Goals (hopefully mareach ko sya ngayong 2017):

Buy and Sell Business
Life and Investment Insurance
Start my own Franchise/Foodcart
Start investing on Stocks

our financial goals for this year:
- get an insurance for me
- get an insurance or educ plan or something like that for our baby (still researching on this)
- debt-free by year end
- travel funds for our anniv/my30th bday
- build our emergency fund (we only have like 1 month worth of funds)
- save up for DP on an SUV (planning to buy next year)
- christmas fund/shopping fund

Napaka unstable ng buhay sa MIddle East.

Truth! Andito din kami sa ME pero hindi sa Qatar. What I learned for over a year (sa dami nangyayari since last year) ay dapat meron kang fully padded 6 months worth of expenses as your Emergency Fund. To live below than 70% household income. Previous years kasi napaka YOLO namin mag asawa. Wala kaming financial planning sa buhay. May naiipon pero mayat maya nauubos din. Since last quarter of 2016 we are trying to slowly make a change in our goals.  So far may progress na. yung 2018 nga as early as now, pinagpaplanuhan narin namin para at least hindi kami mawala sa momentum.
