Yearly ba dapat ang birthday celebration?
« on: April 05, 2017, 08:38:37 pm »
Hi!

I have a toddler turning 2 this year. We had a Minnie Mouse Birthday party for her 1st.
As a mother excited ako for another party but I am still thinking if practical ba. 1? 5? 7? I had a big party when I turned 7 tapos parang 18 na yung kasunod. :)

Can you please help me? and if meron din kayong mga tips for birthday parties/celebrations.

Thank you.

Hi sis, I have a 10 month old and currently planning her first bday. Depende sa dynamics ng family nyo, and syempre if afford nyo mag party every year. For us, we decided to not have a yearly party, even 7th bday nga parang ayoko (matagal pa naman so I might change my mind hehe), for practicality purposes lang. Also, I don't want my daughter to always make a big deal of her birthday, ganun kasi kami lumaki, ako birthdays ko ay palaging with family lang, kakain lang kami sa labas, or magluluto lang mom ko, ganun.

Pedeng simple party lang with family and close friends. Hehe to each his own ika nga.

I have a 5 year old daughter and we have yearly parties. It was not intentional, nung una kasi dapat 1st, 7th and 18th lang pero naging taon taon.

For us, as long as we have extra budget, go kami. Katwiran namin, minsan lang magiging bata ang anak namin so make the most out of it.

We plan to give her yearly party until her 7th birthday.  :)

Also my daughter is an only child and we have this feeling na malamang one and only na talaga sya kaya we really want to give everything we can afford. :)

^+1 sa hindi mangungutang sis. Haha. I don't plan to have yearly parties kahit medyo may extra naman kami for it kasi nakakastress mag prepare ng party. Haha. What I plan to do for the next birthdays are simple lunch or dinner with the family then travel nalang with my daughter and husband. Nest party na nya siguro when she turns 5 or 7.

If ever simple celebration nalang malayo din kasi kami sa both sides so close family friends with kids lang talaga lang guests.

Isa lang naman siya.. I don't know if susundan pa namin. :)

it.s up to you sis, usually 1st & 7th bday meron party. Yung ang meron ako then nung 18 wala ako debut but my parents gave me malaking cash in lieu of the party.
Every year either may konting handa sa bahay for family lang or kain sa labas. ganun naman sa bahay tuwing meron may bday, Same sa family  nila hubby,
so ganun na lang din plan naman sa aming baby, 1 and 7 may big celebration then yung mga in between, icecelebrate pa din but no need for party, konting salu salo sa bahay or kain sa labas or travel, then we'll let our child choose a gift na lang every birthday niya, kung kaya ng budget yung gusto niya why not, if hinde, pili ng iba.

may friend ako every year may bday party for her daughter, madami naman sila budget, nagiisang anak and most of all mahilig magayos ng party yung friend ko, kinacareer niya, enjoy siya sa ganun  :D in fairness hinde sya nauubusan ng theme taon taon at may bagong paandar lagi  ;D ;

So kahit matapat ng weekday yan.

What you need to ask really is ano ba ang gusto ng celebrant? If he/she is too young to appreciate the bday party, then you don't really have to. It doesn't really have to be bongga.

Ang uso dito pag birthday nag tra travel with kids punta sa amusement park or anything na for kids activities. Then personal gifts from parents. Pinag iisipan na namin for 5th or 7th Birthday ang disney land travel sa US. Mga things or activities na magiging memorable for kids may kilala ako sa pinas na ganyan din ang ginagawa pero within PH un activities/travel nila.

In my opinion, if you have a budget for a grand birthday party every year why not. :)

I have a 7 year old son. We celebrate every year pero yung party talaga during his 1st birthday and 7th birthday.

Only did the party for their 1st bday.  On their 7th bday, they asked for a celebration in school, so we did that.  Then, no more.

Instead of harassing myself to cook for other people, we opted to do outings and out-of-town escapades during my boys birthday.

The 7k to whatever X-amount you'll spend feeding the bisitas and buying souvenirs for other people's kid's were better spent on a holiday with just your family.

My kids never questioned their lack of birthday parties since hindi nila kinasanayan.  But they would ask which beach or tourist attraction we will hit on their next birthday.

Hitting 2 birds with one stone, since hindi rin sila nasama sa mga school field trip.  What for kung napuntahan na namin yun during their 3-day birthday vacation.
