This is quite mentally draining. Nung una, nag-set lang kami ng 150 guests. Then nung gumawa na kami ng guestlist, umabot na sya sa 180 kasi kasama pa ang spouse ng ibang ininvite namin.

If we ask our titos/titas to be our PS, are we obliged to also invite their children since they are going to be our kinakapatid sa kasal? If yes, should they also be seated on the VIP?

H2B and I first met at work. We were in one team. Close naman namin yung teammates namin that time, like madalas kami mag-out of town before. Now, I am not sure if we are still going to invite the team lalo na at close kami dati, pero ngayon pacomment-comment nalang sa FB at likes sa IG. Wala na talagang get-together or convo kahit sa messenger. Pero remembering how they played a huge part in our relationship nung nagsisimula pa lang kami ni H2B, I feel like inviting them. PERO di na kami ganun ka-close ngayon.  :-\

Your opinion is greatly appreciated, mga sis!  :)

^ I think kids of PS, not necessary to invite unless close kayo and you would invite them anyway. For example, PS namin is my tito/tita na kapatid talaga ng parents ko. I'm inviting their children kasi close talaga kami.

Old friends/colleagues- I think kailangan nyo ni H2B mag set ng cut off. For example if di nyo sila nakita in the last 2 years, di na sila invited.

For plus ones naman, what my cousin did is if the person is single when they got engaged, walang plus one. So if the guest started dating that person after their engagement, di invited yung boyfriend/girlfriend

hello, i have a question, though hindi ko alam if it belongs here.

i'm planning to invite two of my dad's friends (married sila) to be our ninong and ninang. kilala ko sila personally kasi i grew up knowing them since 22 years ago so i look up to them and treat them as my uncle and aunt. they both live here in SG. pag ininvite ko ba sila, do we need to shoulder their airfare and accommodation if ang kasal namin is sa Pinas? 100 max lang kami and on a budget, di rin naman kami mang hingi ng regalo since di namin madadala yun sa SG pagbalik.

thank you sa advise :)

^No hindi naman. We have a ninong and ninang from US and Australia respectively and sinabi lang namin na gusto namin sila maging principal sponsor and sana makauwi sila. The best you can do is to let them know way in advance para makapag ipon sila and makapag leave. In our case, we told them 7 months before the wedding.

a friend just told me yesterday na "wag ka na mag RSVP girl, wala naman sumusnunod dun". nakakatakot yung thought, pero have you guys heard if it is it still true nowadays?

Matagal tagal naman nang may gumagawa ng RSVP dito but to hear that, i thought it's widely followed na (except to some oldies na usuallyng matitigas ang ulo pagdating sa headcount, which i think is hindi naman na all the time na may ganun...?).

Hi sis. For me lang, its rude not to RSVP kasi diba one of the stressful thing sa wedding is yung sino gusto mo invite. Siyempre nakakatakot kung marami hindi nag rsvp tapos ang dami mo invites eh pano kapag nag kulang tables or nasobrahan naman. Sayang diba. And para ma invite ka that means the bride and groom wants you to share their happy day tapos yung simple yes or no eh hindi magawa. And i think ang maganda sa RSVP more or less alam m sino talaga pupunta.
Regarding oldies naman until now is parang rude sa kanila na pinapa rsvp. 😂

@Tincywincy: RSVP ka pa rin sis, para malaman nila na your seats are not unlimited (considering the venue) and you only have reserved a certain number of seats for them. :)

Meron lang talaga yung mga pasaway at di nagbabasa ng invitation and they're straight to assuming that the whole family is invited kahit di naman. With that, I think you only need to communicate with them properly about it. :)

^ for me, important ang RSVP especially if you already set the maximum number of guests na invited. for myself, 100 lang talaga ang invited namin, and importante sa amin ang RSVP so if someone can't go, i can invite someone else. :)

If they don't RSVP, contact them and let them know na they have to let you or your coordinator know lalo na kung nakapag set na kayo sa caterer.

Thanks sissies :) True, feeling ko kelangan talaga sila tawagan before ka talaga gumawa ng final list and table arrangements kasi madalas may pasaway. sana lang i won't give them the impression na nagttransorm na ako to bridezilla. hahaha

Akala ko minimized yung last minute changes sa guest list ko because we are having a destination wedding pero 3 days before the wedding, I have 3 people cancel --

1. Bridesmaid - issues with her internship. She can't miss any days or she will get an incomplete. Her sister will step in buti na lang same size sila ng damit.

2. 2 guests - one of them lost her passport and only realized 12 hours before the wedding. So she and her partner will miss their flight and the wedding.

Di talaga maiiwasan.
