Engr neechee, thanks for sharing your journey.

I went through the same phase. Good thing it only took you around 3-4 months. For me, it took me over a year in applying. Hirap ako because I'm a single parent with 2 kids and no sustento from anyone. I took a pay cut so I can just have a job. A job that pays well narin, but not as good as the job I lost. I also took a demotion, from a manager position to a senior staff position, in a different industry, with a horrible horrible boss. I found myself working 70 hours/wk with this job, not happy at all, but I had to persevere, kesa walang work. Now after being in the job for 2 years, magc close din pala itong company. I'm not sure if I'm happy that it's closing dahil ayoko dito sa company na ito but at the same time fearful to undergo such uncertainty again.

Ako din yun tipo na lahat planned, since I hate yung walang Plano or Bahala na.

This experience has humbled me. But now, I've been applying in the last 6 months Siguro, but not full time. Tipong once a month, I will send around 10-20 cvs. And all I get are interviews from head hunters. Never ako nakakuha kahit 1 interview from employer and I don't know why.

Nakaka depress isipin. I'm still studying at the same time. A second course that can complement my experience but I'm 2 years away from getting the degree (part time). My degree natapos kasi is not aligned to my experience Kaya I thought Hindi ako ganun kahirable.

Just need some encouragement from time to time as I am nearing my last few months with work with the company I'm with now.

Maraming salamat sa pagbati mga sis :)  I already submitted my pre-employment requirements kanina.

^Sis, I actually don't know how I did it.  I started applying January 31.  Hindi na ako required pumasok ng March 8, effectivity ng end of employment ko is April 8 pero sumahod pa ako ng April 10.  So technically, I just missed two paydays.

I cannot say that this situation is easy.  Kaya nga raw nagkafluid leak ang retina ko is because of stress. Every morning, my routine is composed of: 1) Novena to St. Jude, 2) Prayer to St. Joseph, 3) Novena to St. Clare, 4) Novena to Padre Pio, 5) Novena to the Sacred Heart, 6) A few more prayers to Padre Pio (I have the booklet kasi), 7)  Novena to St. Cajetan (Patron of Jobseekers) and 10) The Miracle Prayer.  Sa gabi naman ako nakikipag-usap kay God as to how my day was, how I feel.  I tell him, "I know you know more in my life.  I know you know what is best for me.  I know that you are aware how I cannot sacrifice my time for my toddler."

I believe God knows more in our daily struggles.  He himself understands when there are priorities that we can't compromise - in my case, my toddler.  My mom is a paralytic kaya she can only supervise the nanny. Tapos there was this option to accept midshift and night shift.  Iniisip ko pa lang, naiiyak na ako.  Why?  My hubby works night shift. I hate a home that is empty sa gabi - only three Labradors and a maid ang maiiwan.  I know sa iba, parang hindi malaking problema ito pero sa akin, hindi ko kayang ganun.  I don't want an empty home.  Kaya I believe, God knows even the littlest concerns na nasa heart natin.

Pero I believe, it was time well spent with my son. I can say he is now good at words.

Cheer up, sis Girltalker2.  It will get better.  This will pass.  I hate it when people say that "hindi tayo bibigyan ng hindi natin kaya."  Kasi the mere thought of the issue, nakakaloka na diba?

I'll pray for your peace of mind.

^^ sis, that's great na at least, technically walang buwan na di ka sumweldo :)

Before people also tell me, di bale, the separation naman daw and retention bonuses are equivalent to several months Or so, I can live with them etc. But what others don't realize is the stress and thought that goes with not having a certain future.

Iniisip ko din what if this is my forced retirement na? Would I be willing to just take any job - as in job that doesn't even relate to my course - like a junior clerk. I don't think I would be able to accept that.

And tama ka, prayers can help ease the burden and stress.
